According to a new study published in the journal Global Biochemical Cycles - the warming of the planet is literally suffocating the oceans. Parts of Pacific and Atlantic basins - the study says - could see "widespread deoxygenation" as quickly as 14 years from now - by 2030. This could decimate global fisheries - threatening the livelihoods of millions. And, when you look at the geologic history of the earth, whenever the oceans begin to die off in a big way, within a short time life on land dies off, too
