The president's speech last

The president's speech last night should have included one key sentence that was missing:

"Now that our combat commitment in Iraq has ended I have directed the Attorney General of the United States to initiate war crime prosecutions of Mr. Bush, Mr. Cheney and other key officials of their administration for the illegal invasion of Iraq under false pretexts and the resulting civilian deaths, torture and other human rights atrocities that resulted from that unlawful invasion and occupation.”

Re: Obama gives Bush a "Get out of jail Free card"

Can we now take off our rose colored glasses and acknowledge that the Republican and Democratic parties are two sides of the same coin, ruled by the Elite?

When Obama praised Bush last

When Obama praised Bush last night I nearly threw up.  Obama is making these political calculations that are offensive to progressives and won't help him.  He better stand for what is right, like standing up to the military industrial complex and the banks.  Bush is a self admitted war criminal responsible for deaths of a million Iraqi's and thousands of Americans.  Obama giving legitimacy to this folly of a war is sick.

Off topic but...yesterday

Off topic but...yesterday Thom was talking about the mandatory publishing of salary ratios (ratio of average executive pay to average worker pay).  I listened carefully and I think Thom's argument doesn't hold water.  It's none of the government's business.  If you really was change then do away with corporate law WHICH WAS CREATED BY PROGRESSIVES (although they probably didn't call themselves "progressive" at that time).

Pushing back against

Pushing back against deception

To those real listeners here who will read this:

Beware "Dog Whistle" opinions.

"Oh I think Obama should of done this!" Is a Dog Whistle that while sounding like a legit opinion, is in fact getting you to feel more "Yea Obama's wrong" more that it seems like it does. Whether you believe that or not you should be concerned about an army of undercover bloggers & commenters trying to trick you into getting a republican elected, by appearing to be a groundswell of the base rejecting the President, Pelosi & Policies. Wake up. =^/

Its just one facet of massive public disinformation and manipulation campaign.

Like Poll Fraud. Its elevated these Tea Bag nut-ball candidates into primaries that would never have happened without giving them the "ohh I guess they are popular" bump, everyone's apparently a sucker for. Its got you all actually thinking there is something to fear from Republicans this fall. They just Gin it up, and you all swallow it with little protest.
