Now with us Sheriff Clarence Dupnik, the sheriff of Pima County, California. And Sheriff, you were on the program in April when this law was first being proposed, you said that 1070, the show me your papers please law in Arizona which is going into effect tomorrow - did I say something other than Arizona?

Thom Hartmann: Yeah, it is hitting the fan in Arizona right now. And frankly all across the country; the Republicans think that they can turn this into a giant political issue in the upcoming elections.

The AFL-CIO and other groups are busing people into Phoenix, a lot of Phoenix residents are going to be showing up, they are going to be confronting, well we’re not sure exactly who. Certainly Sheriff Joe Arpaio, among others. And saying, no we’re not going to show our papers.
