Hartmann: Crazy Alert! Are Twitter Hash Tags Nazi Symbols?

Looks like Occupy Wall Street haters are getting desperate. The right-wing blogosphere caught fire yesterday over claims that Occupy demonstrators are anti-Semitic Nazis. Why? Because protestors in Denver are wearing Twitter hash tags on their clothes to designate them as community organizers or leaders who can answer questions or address problems that arise in the crowd.

The Good, The Bad, and the Very Very Albescently Ugly...

The Good: Skeinz Natural Yarn Store. As New Zealand copes with a devastating oil spill - there are thousands of oil-slicked penguins in need of help - and Skeinz is there to do just that. The store is knitting mini-penguin sweaters to keep the birds warm until they're well enough to be cleaned - and to prevent the birds from plucking out all of their oil-soaked feathers. The Bad: Executives at Goldman Sachs. The bank reported a loss of $428 million in the third quarter of this year - only its second loss since going public in 1999. However - through the first 9 months of this year - Goldman also set aside $10 billion in compensation funds - mostly to cut fat checks to executives like Lloyd Blankfein who took home $13 million bucks last year. The Very Very Ugly. Pat Buchanan. The notorious curmudgeon wrote an op-ed for CNSNews.com to hype his new book "Suicide of a Super Power" The premise of his book - and the premise of his op-ed is that America is in decline - no, not because of failed supply-side economics - but instead because of the end of the white race.

Ian Millhiser, Center for American Progress joins Thom Hartmann. Is the Supreme Court about to give corporations the right to commit genocide? Believe it or not - that may happen. The High Court has agreed to hear the case of Kiobel v. Royal Dutch Petroleum which could give corporations immunity from any lawsuits for their employees murdering, raping, or torturing people in the areas where they're drilling for oil or fielding mercenary armies - just as long as they're carrying out the atrocities under the heading of corporate business.
