Thom's personal email address is thom at But please do not send an email to Thom unless it’s really critical; Thom receives over 500 emails a day and is rarely able to respond to email. Thom does not discuss or debate politics in email – that’s what the radio show and website is for. If you want to make a political point or ask a question about politics, call the program or post to the message boards or blog. People who send multiple emails a day to Thom, or who include Thom in long lists of others in the “to” field, are automatically put into a spam filter and, unfortunately, their emails never get read in the future.

Thom, Louise, and Shawn each receive several hundred emails a day, and while they read most, they rarely have the time or bandwidth to answer.

Our email server is automated so that people who send us multiple emails a week or include us in long lists of cc’d individuals are put on a spam list, and none of those emails can be read nor can we receive future emails of any sort from those email accounts. We sincerely regret having to do this, but with there only being 24 hours in a day, we have no choice at the moment.

And any emails sent to us become our property and may be reproduced on the internet, in Thom's books, or read on the air on radio and/or TV.

Why the Kochs Really Embraced Criminal Justice Reform...

It looks like the Koch brothers have scammed us once again.

When news first came out that Charles and David Koch -- the Koch brothers -- were supporting criminal justice reform efforts in Congress, many of us thought, "Wow, they're actually doing something good for once."

And for good reason, too.

From The Thom Hartmann Reader:
"With the ever-growing influence of corporate CEOs and their right-wing allies in all aspects of American life, Hartmann’s work is more relevant than ever. Throughout his career, Hartmann has spoken compellingly about the value of people-centered democracy and the challenges that millions of ordinary Americans face today as a result of a dogma dedicated to putting profit above all else. This collection is a rousing call for Americans to work together and put people first again."
Richard Trumka, President, AFL-CIO
From Screwed:
"Thom Hartmann’s book explains in simple language and with concrete research the details of the Neo-con’s war against the American middle class. It proves what many have intuited and serves to remind us that without a healthy, employed, and vital middle class, America is no more than the richest Third World country on the planet."
Peter Coyote, Actor and author of Sleeping Where I Fall
From Unequal Protection, 2nd Edition:
"Beneath the success and rise of American enterprise is an untold history that is antithetical to every value Americans hold dear. This is a seminal work, a godsend really, a clear message to every citizen about the need to reform our country, laws, and companies."
Paul Hawken, coauthor of Natural Capitalism and author of The Ecology of Commerce
