Phoney Census Finality???

1 post / 0 new

Earlier this year, Congress passed and the President signed into law legislation that makes it a crime to send out phony census forms. But the Republican National Committee continues to do so, saying they think they've found a loophole in the law. So on Wednesday, the House passed another bill that is suppose to ban misleading Census mailers once and for all. The new law was designed by Republican Darryl Issa, meaning the new Republican strategy is to pretend the law the Republicans are currently violating is flawed and we have to wait until after the elections coming up for Issa's new legislation to become law before the Republicans will stop their deceptive practice of sending out phony census forms asking outrageous questions about things like Obama's "out of control spending" and "government takeover of our healthcare system."

When Eric Holder eventually steps down as Attorney General, he will leave behind a complicated legacy, some of it tragic, like his decision not to prosecute Wall Street after the financial crisis, and his all-out war on whistleblowers like Edward Snowden.
