Arnold Schwarzenegger turns against oil drilling

Well at least one Republican governor is taking some positive steps.

For what its worth, I am not strictly AGAINST offshore drilling (I know that is not a popular progressive stance). However I believe the US oil industry should be made to adopt the EXACT same safety and environmental policies as Norway does, before one more rig can drill. I wonder how likely that would be?

I think Arnold ought to start the Beer Party for real independents. He is the Nelson Rockefeller of today's GOP.

Well look for a spike in California's tourism industry, as people ditch the oil drenched beaches of Florida, and the racist deserts or Arizona.
