BP aims to raise $9bn from sale of assets to China

Looks like BP are starting to sell off parts of the company. See this I think is a bit of a concern. If BP becomes controlled by the Chinese oil company (which is government owned), I wonder how easy it will be for the US government to enforce payment for cleanup.

Afterall, what if the Chinese turn around and say we will just take it out of the trillions of debt of yours we already own...
