Philosopher and psychoanalyst Erich Fromm never abandoned his vision of a humanist non-estranged society where persons were not commodified or mere goods producers but were emancipated and shared in social, cultural and economic freedom. He wrote "Having or Being" at age 76. His first book "Escape from Freedom" explains why people fall for totalitarian leaders.

erich fromm believed the

erich fromm believed the native americans were the only ones that have done it right,  thus far .  theirs was a sort of socialism although they never called it just that .  the native americans were nothing like lennin or stalin who were violent distortions of what karl marx had invisioned .  erich fromm was a social psycologist who studied cultures and churches .  he was a brilliant man and i am his number one fan .  laura martin
