A new report from the Kaiser Family Foundation is showing that the average worker is now laying out roughly $4,000 toward employer-sponsored family healthcare coverage — a leap of $482 (14 percent) over last year. Premium costs, however, only increased 3 percent above last year and employer contributions toward family coverage didn't go up at all. Because so many of the Obamacare provisions don't kick in for the next 3 to 4 years, it's increasingly hard for Democrats to defend the legislation, and its benefits are certainly not at the top of the minds of American voters.
