The new labor report released today shows that unemployment soared last month to 9.6 percent. While the economy added an additional and better-than-expected 67,000 private sector jobs in August, that's still below the 150,000 we need every month just to account for new entrants into the job market to stay even. Meanwhile, dispelling a story in the Washington Post, Obama administration aides said they are not considering a second stimulus package to help the economy. The administration is looking at more government spending on infrastructure projects, tax cuts popular with CEOs, and a $55 billion package that would cut small business taxes. Democrats thought they had elected FDR, but it looks like they got instead Jimmy Carter - a good and decent man who doesn't have a clue how to kick Republican ass or effectively convey to the American people his message of the good things he'd like to do if the Republicans would just get out of the way.

"Kicking ass" is not his job.
He has to eschew ideologies and do what we know works, sometimes it will smell like it came from the right, other times it will come from the left, IF it is done with logic and reason. Obama (and Carter and Bush2) made the mistake of only choosing from one toolbox (ideaology).
Cutting taxes on small business is a great idea if it is done to a large enough extent. Small business can be the engine that fuels a recovery , but not with half hearted attept.
Building NEW infrastructure , very bad ,considering existing infrastructure is falling apart and new infrastructure will need to be maintained (ie cost lots of money we don't have).Infrastructure MUST generate more economic activitey than it consumes or it's an albatross around the neck of the collective.
Obama seem to have "I cannot Recall" problem.He said "The ground is shaking underneath the old arguments".He is using the same old arguments. It`s time for us people to kick all these "bums out" with their "brain-dead" ideas.
Perhaps he should be less concerned about kicking Republican Ass and set the bar a little lower and just kick the Democrats ass that aren't following him lock step. You he can't control his own party he has little to no chance of controlling the opposing party.

The people would be in the streets,if he was doing that.The excuse of FOX TV & 60 votes is very weak. The people could shut down FOX,the people could march 24/7 at the office & home of Congress-people.Say the word and it could be done.Obama say nothing!
