If this is really so, we are in deep doo doo. It was expected that at some point in the future global warming would disrupt the current and be followed by an ice age. of undetermined scope. That's how ice ages occur.
If the spill actually did the same thing...whooops! Britain and the northern states had best stock up on ice picks....and the southern states greenhouses for at least some summer agriculture.
I'd like to see more data before drawing any conclusions from this...and will keep a lookout for any..
