The Republicans are doing a "9/11" on America everyday.How much social-ills(crime,suicide,no-jobs,bad-health,climate-change,war,economy) is happening because these people are stopping and saying no to any progress.Thanks to the Republicans,Osama can go on vacation and retire.

Probably Obama's Deficit Reduction Commission will do an axe job on what little social safety net the U.S. has. Osama bin Laden would approve. on intensifying the meltdown of Main Street....and encouraging civil strive.. Both parties play into his hands.
He'd probably even vote for either party for their war efforts...which simplify his own recruitment efforts.,
The Taliban is delighted.. They receive a hefty income from the private contractors in Afghanistan that pay them to let convoys of military supplies through. A guaranteed Taliban income...ultimately courtesy of the U.S. taxpayers who pay for the privatized convoys.

The 9/11 plot was planned in Germany. We probably should have bombed Berlin. Terrorism doesn't need a "country"...just a quiet room ....anywhere.... for the planning or for the making of a home-made bomb.
Timothy McVeigh, our home-grown terrorist, did his planning in Oklahoma. We probably should have bombed Oklahoma City for hiding a terrorist, executed the state's governor and whisked the officials off to Gitmo...

The terrorists is waiting to see who go down first,private capitalism or state capitalism? The wild-card is "climate change". Poly,thanks for info.I agree with Chris on everything but his solution. The public bank is the solution to avoid Judgeman Day.If people like Chris can speak to that solution, instead of going to a wall-up commune to wait out the Dark-Age,we could avoid it.Most of the rich would go for this solution(public bank)we have to keep this idea "expose". People need to know their`s a "Solution" to the mess.Chris and other intellectuals need to be positive and focus on solutions. No vision,no chance!
