I wanted to call in but was short on time, I hope this is mentioned on air as I think it is important. Rev Jackass mentioned Yugoslavia and something about Muslims doing ethnic cleansing.
When he mentioned that, it made me furious because he straight up lied and made up that comment about the special forces guy. The republican right brings up Yugoslavia quite often, and I believe it is because most people know very little about it so it’s a thing easily lied about.
You don’t need to believe anything I am about to write, you can verify this yourself by finding information about the mass graves that have been found in that area.
The Croats (Christians) and the Bosniaks (muslim, orthodox, Christians) fought against the Ortodox Serbs (Milosovices forces). Christians and Muslims fought that war side by side for the most part against the Serbian forces. Rev Idiot should be ashamed for blatantly twisting those facts in order to try and stir up hate against Muslims.
I know this because I lived thru it. As a side note the Bosnian people Muslims included are big fans of Bill Clinton, its true we love that guy hehehe
Another thing I wanted to mention really fast is that I am old enough to remember when Yugoslavia was a Communist country, and I find it hilarious that the Republicans keep accusing the left of being Communist.
Republican tactic of using fear in order to get people on its side, and several things done during the Bush regime are extremely similar to the tactics of the Communist party that ruled when I was a teenager. Actually not just similar it’s the same.
Please let your listeners know that they should not burn a bible in response to rev lunatic. As a Muslim I can tell you that the Bible, Torah, and the Koran are all holly books. Burning any of them would be sad and a sacrilege. All three religions are quite similar it is too bad that evil people twist those religions to advance their own agenda.

In the patchwork that was Yugoslavia under Tito many of the Muslims lived in small enclaves in mixed areas across much of Bosnia, elsewhere the enclaves were in Serb or Croat dominated areas. After Tito's death (much like Iraq after Saddam) when the ethnicities went after each other and tried to consolidate their hold the Muslims were surrounded and most often the target of genocide. They made peace with Croatia but the Serbs were closer to Bosnia and just would not stop - they wanted all of Yugoslavia back. Sarajevo went from the Olympics host city to almost utter destruction in a few short months really - where were the Muslims in Sarajevo? Inside the ring threatened with destruction. Atrocities happened on both sides like every war but Jones is either insane, ignorant or just plan lying to try to make his point about Islam using poor Bosnia as an example.
Of course cult leader Rev. Jones is not alone ...

I am going to guess that you are disagreeing with the similarities that I have been seeing between the communist of old country and the current republicans. So let me elaborate why I wrote this.
US: The color coded alerts to be on the lookout for terrorist activity. A high alert conveniently happened to be issued when the administration was having some sort of bad press.
Yugoslavia: Border alerts and closures. Something about capitalists massing at the border
US: Giving up liberty for the perception of security. For example warrantless wiretaps, ect ect.
Yugoslavia: pretty much the same thing, for the same reasons. The capitalists might invade, they will destroy our way of life and therefore there are certain things we must do to protect the people.
US: Secret prisons, Torture becomes an accepted interrogation tactic.
Yugoslavia: Again the same was used by the communist regime
Of course there are also major differences like the communists did not allow religion, where the republican right embraces it. But when I see things like that happen alarm bells sound. I am not saying that Republicans = Communist that’s ridiculous but when your goverement uses fear of another group of people to take away your liberties then you should be worried.
