IF corporations are persons
shouldn't they also be citizen as well
as a citizen no matter where in the world I relocate I have to pay income tax regard less of where in the world the money comes from
if I have a child my child automatically becomes a citizen of the U.S. and is also subject to income tax
shouldn't it be the same for corporations
forming a a corporation in the U.S. should be the same as being born in the U.S.
shouldn't subsidiaries be the same as children an automatic citizen of the U.S.
when a corporation expatriates it self nether it or it's products should be allow back into this country unless brought in by a citizen for private use
NOW
how do we make corporations citizens ?
this would close the largest tax loop holes
and
end the possible threat some change in the law or tax code could prompt a corporation to move off shore
Comments
I see a slight flaw in the plan. Expatriates do not have to pay US taxes if the income was not earned in the US.
for them expatriation would be the same as being deported or exiled
and they don't have access the markets here
remember you need to have someone here to sell here
they can''t be here in any form at all not even one employee
as a citizen if I denounce my citizen ship I can't come back in to the country with out a visa nether could they
best of all the expatriates can't buy politicians or pollute our democracy
the Idea of expatriation would be very unattractive

Paleo-con: I beg to differ. It is only up to a certain limit of income abroad that US citizens don't pay taxes. After that limit, you do pay. Check the IRS publication 593 for specifics. You can google or follow the link. http://www.unclefed.com/IRS-Forms/2001/HTML/p59302.html. peace.
