A question of pronunciation

Hi Thom:

Love your show.

However, I would recommend you use the word "empathic" instead of "empathetic" which subsumes the word "pathetic" and associates it with holding empathy in your heart -- in short, a sociopath's take on the topic.  Not yours.

Karl Frisch/George W. Bush-The word is nuclear, not nucular-Try saying Nuclularic Acid or nuculus. Taken to the logical conclusion, communication will be impossible at some future point.

RE: Campaign Donations

We are doomed to more frustration unless the ignorant and the religiously/emotionally-impaired face reality.  It does not matter what you say unless people listen to it.  The afore-mentioned do not tune in to your show, unfortunately, nor do they read other edifying material.  Select people gain prominence and some gain financially in the process. You and  Michael Moore come to mind. I love your show and Moore's films, etc.; also Bill Maher, but you are so outnumbered.  This is Custer's last stand. I'm not afraid of money.  I'm afraid of the American people. The vast majority are utterly fearful, gullible and uninformed and firmly plan to stay that way, thank you. I've spent time in many states and many cities and small towns in my life.  Trying to engage a person in a reasonable conversation about our history and politics, etc. is essentially pointless.  There are pockets of open-minded people who are interesting and interested in dialogue, then there are the rest of them. Talking to the rest of them is like hitting one's head against a wall. They are interested in family, jobs, church, and buying stuff, not necessarily in that order. The biggest enemy we face is good old, agonizingly tedious organized religion.Everything else is relatively unimportant. Religion determines every election outcome we have. Unpopular sentiment but true.
