Their economy shrank by .2% in the fourth quarter last year – as manufacturing slowed down and the service sector weakened.  Ever since the Conservative government under Prime Minister David Cameron came to power and put in place an austerity agenda – the British economy has stagnated and crept closer to the brink of a double-dip recession.  Austerity only helps the banksters – not working people and not national economies.  So don’t let Republican bring it to the United States.

As someone who lives in the

As someone who lives in the UK, I am convinced that we are in recession. It is not surprising though from the off they talked down the state of the nation, they inherrited growth, albeit fragile growth. By talking doom and gloom the scared people from spending or investing. The cuts are from dogma not sense, as history shows cuts never work. It is to be expected though MHF Camoron is nothing but a smarmy pr man and Osbourne with a low grade history degree a faild data input clerk and failed towel folder, ironicly osbournes degree was in twentieth century history. Most of the front bench (cabinate) are from multimillionaire silver spoon families, they have no idea. Look up the actions of the Bullington Club to see the type of people they are and its not pleasant, but a lot of them were part of that club. It is a scarry time to live in my country, we have a minister saying such gems as 'woork will set you free' and you know where that was famously written above some gates. At the same time they are telling people with terminal cancer or MS that they are perfectly fit to work! in the county I live in there were at least 21 suicides from this last year. They have a wonderfull scheme where those on unemployment are being forced to work filling shelves for big supermarkets and so on for free or no miniscule amount of money to live off. The disabled are villafilled in the right wing press and by a lot of those in the government. The UK is doomed, we will go further backwards with all these measures, austerity never works but it helps make their mates richer.
