During an event in Michigan today, GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney — in response to a question about the Simpson-Bowles fiscal commission — admitted that budget cuts slow down economic growth. “If you just cut, if all you’re thinking about doing is cutting spending, why as you cut spending you’ll slow down the economy,” he said.

Yep, Romney's biggest problem is he isn't a twue beweaver, like Gingrich. Gingrich vomits out the conservative lies and lines in an attack like no one else except El Rushbo and Insannity. Romney, hampered bu his real world experiences and some measure of honesty, cannot lie as well the conservative base demands.

Down the rabbit hole we go with just austerity. Poor Greeks, Poor Spain, Ireland, Malta, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary. Even Dutch has something to worry about. Majority of Euro member states do not meet their latest agreed debt ratio.
The latest round of Greek bail out is just feel good for few month band aid or others would like to call kick the can down the road. Only problem for the Greeks, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Ireland, France, Malta is that the road is coming to a dead end. And boy oh Boy! I can see the end.
And our own austerity is no different. We too are going down the rabbit hole.
Doing the same thing and expecting different result is a definition of Insanity. Maybe not so harsh a term. Perhaps, collective amnesia may be more appropriate.
Greece has to default. There is no other way!! oh they already did technically. But more serious form of chaotic default will happen. And we are all headed down the same path. US economy is the Lanterne Rouge (caboose aka at the end, the last one) of the global train wreck. Train wreck that is the financial mess and the poison pill we call austerity at all cost.
