I don't think he wants us to move our money to private credit unions.
And I haven't seen any evidence that credit unions behaved better than the big banks during the years 2001-2007.

Actually, the credit unions have a pretty good record, but they never were able to get into the fast money mortgage game like the banksters could. If they could do more local lending to Commerce, they could be part of a real change in how banking is done. They are not the deregulated Savings and Loans, nor are they owned by Wall St.
Moveyourmoney is a protest and credit union is part of a solution,but a "99% public bank/credit union" can be a solution for economic justice/democracy. Private banking and Wall St is "obsolete",why let others do what "we the people" can do ourselfs? The economic kings has become "dictators",they have destroy democracy/freedom.
