AAA Motor Club issues/Better World Motor Club as alternative

Recently, I was told that AAA Motor Club was lobbying against the expansion of electric vehicle recharging stations. Is there any printed information or online articles to back this up? The Better World Motor Club was given to me as an alternative. If anyone has any information concerning this issue, please post links. Thank you very much.
