Well at least he didn't out right lie about the issue the way he did about campaigne public financing in 2008:

"OBAMA: Yes. I have been a long-time advocate for public financing of campaigns
combined with free television and radio time as a way to reduce the influence of
moneyed special interests. I introduced public financing legislation in the Illinois State
Senate, and am the only 2008 candidate to have sponsored Senator Russ Feingold’s (DWI)
bill to reform the presidential public financing system. In February 2007, I proposed
a novel way to preserve the strength of the public financing system in the 2008 election.
My plan requires both major party candidates to agree on a fundraising truce, return
excess money from donors, and stay within the public financing system for the general
election. My proposal followed announcements by some presidential candidates that they
would forgo public financing so they could raise unlimited funds in the general election.
The Federal Election Commission ruled the proposal legal, and Senator John McCain (r-
AZ) has already pledged to accept this fundraising pledge. If I am the Democratic
nominee, I will aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to
preserve a publicly financed general election."

Flip-flop is Chuck Todd's

Flip-flop is Chuck Todd's word. I was thinking more along the lines of disingenuous or obfuscation.

How would you propose that

How would you propose that Obama pursue this goal with the Republicans he has to work with?  I am glad we do not have a martyr or sacrificial lamb in the White House.  I wish we had a loyal opposition.  With all I share with Obama's critics at the ideal level, I cannot see how anyone else would have been able to do better in the White House in the current state of affairs.  What we need for America is not going to come out of "the system" by itself.  Obama plays his part, but we all have lots of other work to do.

Yep, that's right, that's what he said, that's his position. My guess is it was motivated by Pres. Obama's desire to return Democracy to the USA. Unfortunately an illegitamate supreme court had other ideas concerning OUR democracy. Pres. Obama is simply following the law of the land. Do you have a problem with that?

mjolnir, my friend, you do not seem capable of grasping or even seeing the new paradigm. What presently moves humanity towards new solutions is the ability to move into a creative stance, not a resistive posture.

You conservatives are just

You conservatives are just pissing yourselves out of fear on the news because you know Obama's message will crush anything your Wall Street shill has to say. And, speaking of Mitt, I'm surprised at the temerity of a Republican to even mention "flip-flop" about now.

Conservatives don't seem to

Conservatives don't seem to be able to distinguish between an unfulfilled promise and an outright lie.

"a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood."
