Jill Stein on the Big Picture

1 post / 0 new

Hey Thom- just wanted to take a moment to thank you for having Jill Stein on the program last Thursday.

It's exciting to have such an articulate, intelligent, true progressive running for President. I hope your viewers and listeners were as impressed with her and the Green New Deal as I am. Don't stop there! It's a long time between now and November, and I'm sure you'll be doing plenty of stories about the corporate candidates and their campaigns. Don't neglect the real progressives in the Green Party- we need every voice we can get!

The Problem of the Establishment

One thing that both parties have in common in this primary season is the fact that there's a sharp divide between "We, the People" populism, and the rich and powerful Washington establishment.

On the Republican side, Donald Trump is leading the race by running on a populist platform based on the fact that he's not beholden to the billionaires or lobbyists, and that he's never been part of the political establishment.
