This is my first post so if it's not in the right place please move it.

About 5 minutes into Randi Rhodes' January 31st pod cast there is a clip of Mitt Romney saying "He wish he were a hispanic.."  There is a way he can do this or at least become a Mexican.  I think most people think Mexicans are Hispanics.

Mitt's father, George, was born in Mexico and because of this  is looked upon by the Mexican government as a Mexican citizen.  Mexican law provides that first generation children of Mexican citizens can apply to the Mexican government for Mexican Citizenship.  This enables them to vote in Mexican elections, own property in Mexico, have a Mexican passport and other benefits such as claiming to be a hispanic. This oppertunity is available to first generation only and can not be past on to Mitt's children.

This process is called "Duel Citizenship" and is available at any Mexican Consulate.  It cost, I believe, about $20.  Maybe it's more but surely less then $100.

It appears that Mitt's wishes can come true.  My question is will Mitt jump at this chance to be a Mexican?
