Not as a President you

Not as a President you haven't.

If Obama was doing a great job the country would not be in the sorry shape it is currently in.

Ron Paul for President in 2012 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we had not had to endure

If we had not had to endure 30 years of Neocon crap, even with the Clinton inter-regnum, Obama would not have to shovel so much shit to get out of the basement of the White House.  We will not see a RP presidency for too many good reasons to make me long for the few things he would improve.  Enjoy your fantasy world.

I am not trying to sell a product here....

So are you just saying that we only have to choose the Bilderberg candidates and allow America to go into neo-feudalism ?

Hey that's your choice... the rest of us will not go quietly.

It doesn't matter to me

It doesn't matter to me whomever the published (media reinforced, accept-this-as-being-true) result of the election in November happens to be - since it will just be the person that occupied the office during the term when the statute of limitations on the trillionish financials crimes of 2006-2008 expired with none of the main players having been punished or ill-gotten gains retrieved.

The person that undertakes a (fraudulent) action that will result in a child spending one day in poverty needs to be rendered unable to do so.  All the more so when it is hundreds or thousands of children or endures for weeks, months or years.

Nothing has been done for several years - so now it's millions more put into poverty for years.

My shame at being an American gets tougher to bear every day.

These are dark times for the

These are dark times for the world, not just America. It seems that a lot of Americans hate their freedoms and cannot wait to lose all of them. If you can't see through the manipulation of US mainstream media in favouring the corporations then I'm afraid you have been fooled.

Ron Paul speaks the truth from the heart and has been speaking that consistant truth for thirty years. Stop paying for national debt with printed money. End the federal reserve. Obey the US Constitution.

Sprinklefitter. You have copy & pasted that same line of text on several posts that meantion Ron Paul. Can you make some signal of human intelligence that you are capable of engaging in meaningful conversation instead of railroading an important subject. If you're uninterested please go elsewhere. If you would like to debate, you are welcome to.

Thank you sir.

Is it possible to have meaningful conversation with people who believe in magic and fanciful slogans?

Well SORRY, but you are

Well SORRY, but you are wrong.  OBAMA is doing a Great JOB.     He came in after a tradegy, the BUSH Tradegy.

If it were anyone else, we would be in a much worse situation.  I do know this, that President Obama deserves another 4 years.  I do hope that the one who follows after him is endorsed by him, and shares in his vision.  I know that I clearly see our President's Vision.  I'm with him 100%.

RP IS NOT AN IMPORTANT

RP IS NOT AN IMPORTANT SUBJECT to me and I'd say many others around here as well. He's a loser that is going no where. Too bad people like you don't have enough common sense to see that. Why don't you RP lovers go somewhere else yourselves where your shit is excepted?. If you had any brains that's exactly what you would do....

And just remember..........This isn't a Libertarian free market message board here on The Thom Hartmann Program.

First, Do no harm is an oath

First, Do no harm is an oath taken by many.

What does it tell us when a person who has taken such a philosophy/pledge sees a person in poverty, just drives on by and tells others they should do the same?

It tells me they don't know what harm is.

And if you can't recognize the damage being done - how are you going to "uphold the Constitution of the United States" and ensure equality, domestic tranquility, international treaties (like the U.N. Rights of the Child from the 50's), etc.?

Well, Ron Paul at least supports Constitutional guarantees.. Obama, like Bush, is shredding them as quickly as he can.

However, economic feudalism with civil rights isn't much of a choice. Protesting destitution  outside of jail with Ron Paul, or protesting destitution in jail with a Dem or Republican as Pres. is still destitution. Can you offer up a choice #4?
