Apparently, the GOP has decided that one strategy for winning elections is to put as many Democratic voters in jail as possible. Not surprising.

@Art,

If you think millions of citizens are being put in jail without due process -- provide your source.

I'll see if I can find some

I'll see if I can find some left-wing blogs with some phoney study results to confirm this.

@TruthtoPower. Let's see,

@TruthtoPower. Let's see, let's start with the number of oil execs in prison, then we'll move on to the number of bank execs in prison, then we'll move to the number of pure cocaine users vs cheap crack cocaine users in prison, then we'll take a BIG look at the number of poor vs super rich in prison, then let's see how many execs who stole people's retirement money are in prison vs those who got more welfare than they were entitled to, then....then....then...we will know that there is indeed due process..and justice for all.

More to the point, what is

More to the point, what is this supposed to tell us? I would expect poor people to vote overwhelmingly Democratic.

Sigh...

I suppose the overwhelming percentage of convicted felons who are registered to vote are registered as belonging to the Democratic Party.

I'm guessing the overwhelming percentage of all convicted felons are not registered to vote at all.

I stopped reading that Northwestern paper when I saw it was dated January 3, 2001...

poly replies. That's probably true. In most states, felons lose their right to vote. However, it they want to waste their time and toddle down to the Registrar' Office and make an attempt to register Democratic, I suppose they can do that.

Remember, the law in all of its majestic equality forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep on park benches or beg in the streets. Do either frequently, and you'll get a felony  trespass charge. The rich probably only beg in the streets or sleep in the gutters once or twice a year. ..

I do understand that the wealthy are less inclined to become  felons. Not many millionaires bop their neighbors over the head to get their wallet....so they can buy dinner or pay the rent.

The only crime in robbing a bank or de-frauding its clients seems to be if you don't carry the title CEO. Steal a billion and you're a hero. Walk in with a mask and steal a penny, and you're a felon.

Woody Guthrie told us that it

Woody Guthrie told us that it was easier to steal with as briefcase than with a gun.  I up that to the sweepstakes of theft in a portfolio, or the only fools who rob banks are those who don't own them.  This is another piece of Power to Truth trash.  Pure troll crap because his point is always to blame the lesser evils and to divert attention from the real crimes of power.  He may be a totally naive anti-duopolist with an emotional problem about those closer to his pain than with the real serious thugs.

I have pointed out elsewhere that Left cultists are far more angry at those who agree with them on some things but who refuse to join the cult than they are with the Big Evil that gives their radicalism power within the cult.  Their Supermen need Lex Luther and cannot stand the forces of law and order and civil authority that cannot stop Luther by themselves.  I have a problem with stories where human beings are inadequate to our moral dilemma and need angelic interventions.

Remember that post? If you guys want  to play silly assed games then so can we. If you don't want to play goofy games then don't. Crap can come from any direction my friend.

 Now we have done it. The righties here have been holding back with their big guns due to a highly principled ethics which did not allow for their deployment until we violated  the dont call us dumbasses principle. Not only did we imply a connection to stupidity, but we claimed it was scientifically verifiable. We only have ourselves to blame now that the floodgates of Gibraltar have opened

rigel,let me put it this

rigel,let me put it this way.  It is not whether the Righties have "intelligence," it is whether they use it.  I see no thinking in the reactive, fear-based, projectionist nonsense that you keep posting.  I have said it more clearly to Power to Truth because he claims to do the contrary and never attacks the powerful while he fulminates about the weakness of the Democrats.  The troll strategy of dividing liberals and making Obama the issue instead of the ankle biter GOPimps for Corporate is tedious.

What we do know is that cult leftists need to attack the left that does not join the cult while preserving the evil enemy that the non-cultists 'fail' to demolish.  I do not have to love the lesser evil to see why the greater evil is worse.  I also do not find those who wash away all distinctions as if they did not exist worthwhile as allies.  When you guys focus on power and provide a political organizing framework to attract a coalition instead of a cult of true believers you may become useful players.

We should all be on the side of truth, where ever it leads.

However, what the libs are saying is that the poor get put in jail for more frequently for similiar crimes than the rich.

And, it is true today that the new conservative-Republican FOX NEWS Tea Partiers are pretty stupid.

But, let me, by proof of comparison, say that in the 60's and 70's, the shoe was on the other foot. The scientists were conservative, and the drop outs were liberals. The Liberals wined about women's rights, the environment, the war, but most had no idea what they were talking about. It turned out they were right about most of all that, but that is another matter.

So, what made the scholars

So, what made the scholars 'smarter' if they were wrong about most everything and smug to boot?  I think the drop outs made a smart assessment of the academy's arrogant blindness.  Some of us went to graduate school to make that point, but we did not get academic jobs.  I was right about the nonsense taught at Stanford Biz School, but that did not get me any plums.  Conservatives got hired because they played the funding game and were acolytes of dogma.  Drop outs are the A students and most grad students are dilligent B grinds.  Look at the product and mourn the death of the 'liberal class' as Hedges documents.

Now is your chance!!!! Have I EVER provoked anyone? I have responded to insults but you will agree, that is not "provoking."

Lets see your evidence. Put up, shut up or admit that I do practice what I preach.
