Thom has far more historical and current facts and figures in his head than any commentator in politics. That's why I love his shows, but he often times has his stats slightly wrong, so I thought it might be cool to have some kind of an instant fact check for Thom's show for him to make corrections immediately or after the commercial break. Maybe a special phone line, chat/ thread or email or whatever. Last month he said a couple times 14 straight months job growth when it was 22 months and today he said the top 1% income was up 257% when it was actually 275%.

Reporting from Washington — The rich got richer over the last three decades — and the very rich got very much richer — according to a new government study.
The top 1% of households saw their after-tax incomes grow by 275% from 1979 to 2007, said the study by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office. That was more than quadruple the growth of the rest of the top 20% of the population during that period.

Also the top 1% of income earners pay over 37% of the income tax.
IN contrast, the bottom 50% of income earners only pay 2.5% of the income tax.
