(reporter) "Dr., what is Vice President Cheney's prognosis after his heart transplant?" (doctor) "We'll, we're all hoping for the best... but he'll probably survive."

I bet ya his tax payer funded government insurance picks up the tab for all of it too.

Here we have another example of wastefull government spending.....

He was on a list, someone that needed a heart didn't get it, or didn't get the one Cheney got. It may have been a child's heart he got. Age was an issue, because if someone younger needed one, and had 20 years of life expectancy, and Cheney has 5, the younger one should get it from the donor. But Cheney, one of the most evil souls to walk the earth, had a heart the size of the Grinch [pre-xmas], and a child donor was the option, Cheney could get it, his chest could only hold a heart the size of a chimp. If it was a chimp heart, friends should be aware. He could rip their face and hands off, pull their eyes out, and chuckle.

Unfortunately it is attitudes like this that highlight exactly what is wrong with obamacare. Citizens commenting on the financial prudence of the healthcare of another citizen.

It is sad.

Obamacare doesn't kick in until 2014, Cheney's procedure had nothing to do with Obama. Halliburton may've had something to do with it. They could kill under one of the stand your ground laws, no arrest no investigation, donor heart ready for transplant. New no bid contracts following this justified homicide were just a coincident.

So I take it you GOPimpCons don't like it when the shoe is on the other foot......Eh?

I guess your kind doesn't consider taxpayers money being spent on the "Dick" wastefull government spending? As long as one of your own get government provided insurance and health care paid by the taxpayers that takes care of his sorry asses it's ok with you?

I being a private citizen with an opinion can comment on any fucking thing I like. You certaintly don't have to read what I post much less reply. You of all people around here need to engage your BB size brain before letting your alligator size mouth get to flapping.

Seriously. It is unbelievable how quickly some of our T.H. friends completely lose their cool. Short fuse? How about no fuse?

NO WE DON'T!

Now I haven't used that particular word in a while but it seemed like a good time to use it on cal since nothing else seems to get through his thick skull. If nothing else it will get his attention like it did yours. Next time I'll use frickin instead like I usually do.

rigel.....I laugh everytime I come to this place and read crap that is posted by your types. I usually laugh when I type out a reply to your types. I'm by far the most fun loving man you'll never know. In the trade I retired from I was known for years as a public relations specialist. If you don't know what that means ask around.

I don't want to see anyone die. I'm hoping this guy has a "thief on the cross moment" that hopefully saves his soul.

The only question I have about Darth Vader getting a heart transplant is his age. Isn't he too old to be considered for heart transplants?

I recently became an organ donor and I would rather my heart going into someone that was younger.

Good Lord, you guys are getting into the vibe of obamacare quick. Sarah Palin was right about the Death Panels!

Why on Earth do you think you have a right to talk about someone elses healthcare!!! Why would you possibly be talking about someones AGE and if that relates to medical decisions????

We are in for some dark times indeed.

Unfortunately, medical science has no conscience transplant operation. Cheney just has a new blood pump for his souless body. The only issue would be who did not get a needed heart instead of this mass murderer? If someone else dies for want of a heart, is there not a 'death panel' at work here? Is it just money and infamy that qualifies jumping the line?

This guy has earned a lot of hate by his vile abuses of power and lack of any sense of shame and utter failure of apology for his crimes. I have not got time to care about him, but why would anyone defend him?

Age and Hope.

A "death panel" is a reality. I don't like the source that it is often attributed to (Sarah Palin) but the idea is very much based in reality. She also was lambasted for saying that grocery prices were going to rise... guess what? They've risen.

To be clear, I think she is a "tool". I'm using the word "tool" to be the most negative that word can mean. But I am not going to negate everything she has ever said. I admire Noam Chomsky. I am not going to applaud everything that he has ever said. That's not an alien concept, is it? I hope not.

I would rather my heart go to someone who will have a better use out of it.

Like our parents used to say, "There are kids starving in China! Finish your plate!" It's our basic human instinct to dislike an overt waste of a resource.

Time to Rethink the War on Terror

Thom plus logo

When Eric Holder eventually steps down as Attorney General, he will leave behind a complicated legacy, some of it tragic, like his decision not to prosecute Wall Street after the financial crisis, and his all-out war on whistleblowers like Edward Snowden.
