DoD Confirms Russian Troops To Train On U.S. Soil

Unprecedented drills cause consternation on American right

The Department of Defense has confirmed foreign media reports that Russian troops are set to target terrorists on Americans soil as part of an unprecedented joint drill with the United States which will take place in Colorado next month.

As we reported yesterday, Airborne troops from Russia are set to take part in drills focused around targeting terrorists at Fort Carson between May 24 and May 31. The soldiers will also be mingling with the local community, attending a baseball game in Colorado Springs during their stay.

Although it marks the first time Russian troops will train on U.S. soil, soldiers from a plethora of different nations have been involved in similar drills for well over a decade.

“The Russian soldiers are here as invited guests of the U.S. government; this is part of a formal bilateral exchange program between the U.S. and Russia that seeks to develop transparency and promote defense reform,” Cmdr. Wendy L. Snyder, U.S. Defense Press Officer for policy, told The New American in an e-mail. “This is the first time that American and Russian special operations troops have participated in a bilateral exercise.”

“According to Snyder, the exercises — which she said would last about three weeks in all — will serve to train and improve skills related to terror-war fighting. About 20 Russian soldiers will be participating, with most of the training to take place on the Fort Carson, Colorado, Army base and a mountain training area several hours away.”

The presence of foreign troops on U.S. soil has long caused consternation with many on the American right for a number of reasons, both historical and contemporary, stretching right back to when the British called upon German Hessian soldiers during the Revolutionary War.

More modern fears revolve around global UN peacekeeping troops being used to quell unrest inside America, an issue touched upon by Henry Kissinger during the 1991 Bilderberg meeting when he stated, “Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful.”

Drills such as FEMA’s 2009 NLE exercise, during which foreign troops worked alongside U.S. authorities, have led to concerns that the federal government would be forced to rely on foreign mercenaries to restore order, confiscate weapons or even incarcerate citizens during a national emergency, because of the likelihood that Americans would refuse to carry out such orders against other Americans.

One of the primary reasons why this story hasn’t gone viral is because doubt was cast on the issue when a known disinformation outlet (European Union Times) decided to embellish the details by adding completely manufactured nonsense about Russian troops “seizing the CIA’s main computer facility in Denver, the NSA’s main computer facility in Bluffdale, Utah, and taking control of main runways and terminals of the Denver International Airport.”

Despite the fact that these claims come from a source who is notorious for making a living out of fooling people into believing bogus stories, Glenn Beck’s The Blaze website carried them without retraction.

This in turn poisoned the well and led some to believe that the drills themselves, which are completely confirmed and admitted, were a hoax.

The Department of Defense’s acknowledgment that the exercises as described in the initial media reports are indeed taking place will hopefully put an end to this confusion and allow focus to return to the question of why Russian troops are training to kill “terrorists” on U.S. soil.

I "would" be more concerned

I "would" be more concerned with the "Mexican" troops training on U.S. soil, i.e. those undocumented immigrants that the U.S. puts on the fast track to citizenship if they agree to join our armed forces.  Not that it is even remotely a problem today, but logically for the long term it just doesn't make sense to recruit neighbors from a country who we otherwise castigate mercilessly and expect them to abide by our wishes.  What would Reagan Country in Orange County California think if 95% of the Marines in Camp Pendleton were born in Mexico?  I think Machiavelli had some advice about this.

This is Globalism folks, foreign mercenaries to do their bidding to bring America into martial law.  Obama is already a foreigner so of course he is fast tracking getting the foreigner sleeper cells into America.  This is the Globalist plan.  You think all these martial law exercises are just for craps and giggles, no they are the NWO beta-testing martial-law in America and bringing in foreign mercenaries to go through with it just in case American military refuses to fire on Americans.

You have to put the idea of

You have to put the idea of the U.S. and Russia being enemies in it's proper historical context. Obviously, they have been partners since long before the "cold war" was officially ended. The NWO didn't just come into existence when the clowns of government started talking about it. If you see them collaborating on everything from the war on drugs (war on the population) to the space station (ISS) to the war on terror (war on the population) and in every other sphere, then you should be able to comprehend that they have been partners since long before they made any public moves together. So, in real world context, who can be their common enemy that brought them together?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag44dRO8LEA

You have to observe that they always, such as in president George H's speech about the NWO, qualify their pronouncements with an associative statement that ties their new strategy to a real world problem in such a way that the general public will think they are not meaning what they mean and are merely being rhetorical when they lay out their real plans. So if the progressives aren't able to comprehend what the NWO really is at this point in history, and if they aren't able to talk openly about it in real terms without the fear of being labeled a "conspiracy theorist" and/or a kook, then you're not in the real conversation and you are merely part of the cover story that the NWO has concocted for you.

Everyone has to start "getting it" that while the people who believe they are the owners of the world are indeed a criminal class which needs to be completely excised from power, they are still behaving in a way that seems rational to them in that they think they are following the only course that will keep them in power as the owners of the world, regardless of how their "star wars" war turns out. As indicated earlier, if you don't deal realistically with the current reality, then you are actively part of the criminal class whether you recognize that collaboration, or not.

Without a doubt it is

Without a doubt it is difficult for some intellects to deal with a topic that is so askew of their normal belief system that to acknowledge it would be tantamount to altering their world view. But, nevertheless, when that something new is the actual reality of life as it exists, then, eventually, it is going to be the normal paradigm whether or not anyone wishes to ignore it in the false belief that it is not pertinent to their current belief system. So that such people do not feel that the new paradigm is such that it will never be intellectually spoken of on the record, here is a clip of former defense minister of Canada, Paul Hellyer,

However anyone looks at the

However anyone looks at the political world, there can only ever be one abiding truth at the pinnacle of geopolitical positioning. That is to say, there can only ever be one Big Picture and every other storyline has to be a subset of that one truth, whether it be good or bad, whether it be believable or not according to your understanding of the way of the world. If you disregard that one truth in favor of a lesser understanding, then you are not working for change, you are merely marking time as you get on with your life in a constrained, sheltered existence which is most likely serving some purpose that is not of your design or even of your knowing. The Big Picture which is the reality of this time and place in History has been exposed to everyone by the people who lead the dominant society, but it has been crafted so that only a certain set will know of it for what it really is. That is because the people who believe they are the rightful rulers of the world actually believe that the majority of people are not intelligent enough to be able to deal with the truth, that and they believe that it would threaten their power if the truth was known.

While the OWS movement is a valid approach to recognition, it will never cause the criminal capitalists to relinquish power without the OWS developing into an armed fighting unit, unless the Big Picture is acknowledged as being the reality that it is. It is the Truth that will set you free, and nothing else. If the non-violent forces wish to defeat and put an end to criminal capitalism without having to resort to a fighting war, then the only way to do that is to embrace the truth and confront the power of the capitalists, since it is the top-secret security state which is the real foe and not the wealth hoarders to whom that wealth is merely a tool. One thing everyone should realize is that there are many, many people who are desirious of the truth being loosed from it's unnatural constraints and if people with credibility would embrace that idea then real change for the better would happen much more rapidly than by any other means. Here is a link that would show you that you are not alone,

Ron Paul to return for

Ron Paul to return for hearing on ending Federal Reserve By Pete Kasperowicz - 05/04/12 02:21 PM ET

Paul's hearing on Tuesday is titled: "The Federal Reserve System: Mend it or End It?"

Republican presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) will return to Washington next week to chair a hearing on how the Federal Reserve system might be reformed, or even dismantled.

Paul chairs the Financial Services subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy & Technology, and will hear testimony on Tuesday morning from two members of Congress and several economists at his hearing titled, "The Federal Reserve System: Mend it or End It?"

Paul is a longstanding critic who has said the Fed should be dismantled because its control over interest rates lead to boom-bust cycles, and more recently, because of the Fed's involvement in propping up real estate values and banks. But he has also pushed for more moderate solutions, including a bill that would require a public audit of the Fed that now has 224 House co-sponsors.

"More and more people are beginning to understand just how destructive the Federal Reserve's monetary policy has been," Paul said Thursday. "I hope that this hearing will kick-start a serious discussion on the need to rein in the Fed. One hundred years is far too long for Congress to have taken a hands-off approach.

"The Fed continues to reward Wall Street banks while destroying the dollar's purchasing power and driving up the cost of living for average Americans," he added. "This reckless behavior must come to an end."

Paul will hear from two members of Congress with proposals to reform the Federal Reserve. Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas) has proposed legislation that would end the Fed's dual mandate of controlling inflation through monetary policy and ensuring job creation. Brady is one of several Republicans who have complained about the Fed's quantitative easing program, under which the Fed bought billions in federal debt in a bid to give the economy a boost.

He will also hear from Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), who in 2011 argued in favor of reducing the size of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the policy-setting board of the Fed, by removing regional, unelected FOMC members.

A second panel will include Stanford University's John Taylor, and Alice Rivlin, a former vice chairwoman of the Fed's Board of Governors who is now with the Brookings Institution.

  Please tell us, Choco, how

Please tell us, Choco, how the FED has 'control' over the interest rates. It may control the interest rate that it charges member banks for overnight loans and deposits, but all the various rates the bank charges to various people are completely under the banks' control. The FED cannot really control the interest rate beyond the fundementals.  If it lowers the interest rate too much, then you have inflation and nominal rates rise (and the real rate rises).  If it raises the interest rate too much, then prices fall and the real rate falls. The FED only really has power when it is consistent with market expectations. For example, everyone but you knows that the economy is in a recessionary period. So, the low interest rates and increase in money supply does not lead to an increase in inflation. This is because an expansionary policy is consistent with market expectations.

Now, the FED is sort of powerless to engineer the recovery for other reasons - but that is another story that you skipped in econ 101.

Yes, the FED did that, BY DEREGULATING. Consider - financial crash in 1929 - FDR adds regulations. Now we deregulate the housing and financial sector and - boom another Financial crash. There was no financial crash from 1929 to the present day because we had these regulations. We had 80 years of Federal Monetary Policy - with no financial crashes. \

It's very hard to explain these facts if you think the FED is the cause of high real estate values. But then, Paul is a paranoid lunatic.

Those were RP's words not

Those were RP's words not mine. I was more interested in auditing the Fed and turning over control of the issuance of our money to the Treasury Department owned by us not private bankers. Also, the Fed puts money into circulation as debt and charges interest on that debt so there can only be ever escalating inflation which is why starter homes cost $300,000 now when they cost $25,000 in the early 60s. So yes, by their very fundamental ownership of the public's money supply they greatly affect housing prices.

This has got to be the

This has got to be the stupidest thing anyone has ever said on the topic of economics:

"Snuck through Congress on Christmas Eve in 1913, the Federal Reserve Act established the Fed as America’s central bank.  The Fed essentially creates money out of thin air, manipulates interest rates, and interferes with the free market.  By doing so, the Fed fuels our economy’s boom-bust cycle and has helped devalue our dollar by over 95%."

http://www.ronpaul2012.com/the-issues/end-the-fed/

Of course the key word is "fuels."  "Fuel" to me does not have the same meaning as "amplify" or "exaggerate."

I am sympathetic to the view that money should not be debt based. But that is how modern financial system operate, all over the world, for generations. The current financial crisis was relatively recent and unique and was probably due more to recent efforts to deregulate.  I think that is what Paul had in mind when he was talking about housing prices.
