ALEC--conspiracy theory

With even WalMart bailing out of ALEC, what are the odds that the corporations will simply leave ALEC as an empty shell and set up a new organization to continue what they have been doing?

They'll probably make another one and call it "We love puppies, Inc." or something completely unrelated to what they actually do. Or they will do what they have been doing with everything else and name it something patriotic like, "The Patriots Association for Fighting for Freedom and the American Way"

I think I heard of ALEC divesting its self of political activity, having set up a spun off sub division to handle THAT stuff.
Hey, all you moneyed lefty liberal progressives, and I know there's a few of you out there. We need PALEC. The Progressive American Legislative Exchange Counsel.

The GOP war on workers has killed again...

It’s time to stop the conservative's war on working people in America.

Since the birth of our nation, conservatives have always been wary of average working-class Americans having too much political or economic power. John Adams, the second President of the United States and a Federalist (precursor to today’s Republicans), was very wary of the working class, which he referred to as “the rabble.”
