How Marijuana Legalization Would Create Jobs and Help the Environment!

36 posts / 0 new

Marijuana is said to have great uses as medicine and I do believe this is true, however even if you didn't agree with this you should still agree that it would be good to legalize this plant. It would help to stop crimes of violence commited because of the fact that it's illegal and it would make it much less profitable to sell. The reason it will create jobs is because it will enable farmers to grow hemp! Hemp is a plant related to the marijuana plant, but it's not really used for smoking. This is what paper used to be made of! If we went back to using hemp for the production of paper it would create jobs manufactering paper which practically everyone uses and help save thousands of trees from being chopped down at the same time! It grows fast and there are just literally so many uses for it! Below is a link to a site that lists the best uses of hemp.

Legalization would mean economic opportunity for American farmers and people who can grow their own. It also is a death sentence for the militarization of our police, and the for profit prison system.

Can you guess which constituency has better lobbyists?

I like it, but it doesn't run on hemp, its built from hemp. The weight reduction increases fuel economy 25-30%. Which is reason enough to consider it. I wonder how much fuel could be saved if we made a jetliner from the weed?

Anything that can be made from petroleum you can make from HEMP the planets number one plant ,currently it has approx 50 000 uses and counting and is completely sustainable unlike ancient sunlight .

Look who does not want the world to turn to this miraculous plant for a safe sustainable future.

The laws reflect where the power is ,the solution therefore have as few laws as possible if it where grown a lot of very rich people would loose a lot of money so again the collective good of humanity is subdued for the interest,s of the few.

So the solution when will the highest interest,s of all or the collective good of all supersede the interest,s of the few.

$100,000.00 Challenge to the World...to Prove Us Wrong!

If all fossil fuels and their derivatives, as well as trees for paper and construction were banned in order to save the planet, reverse the Greenhouse Effect, and stop deforestation;

Then there is only one known annually renewable natural resource that is capable of providing the overall majority of the world's paper and textiles; meet all of the world's transportation, industrial, and home energy needs, while simultaneously reducing pollution, rebuilding the soil, and cleaning the atmosphere all at the same time…

And that substance is—
the same one that did it all before—
Cannabis Hemp…Marijuana!

Quote Dr. Con: What have you guys been smoking? Hemp is legal in Canada and no one uses it for anything, because there are better alternatives.

You're an ass... Shame on your ignorance. Put up or shut up.

Hemp Industries Association Reports Final Estimates of $419 Million in U.S. Retail Hemp Sales for 2010

Doesn't it even bother you to lie through your teeth in public? Dung Worrier politicians preventing a safer stronger renewable resource, asses casting doubt with no proof, the same unsubstantiated reefer madness of boring lies. You have no clue to what Canada or the other 30 countries growing Hemp are producing. Including the Pope. Just proud to watch American farmers go broke and forfeit their farms when a cash crop such as Hemp should be available. Admit it ass, You profit on prohibition and this doesn't phase you because of... greed? That's it? You sell out your country for a paycheck? See folk's, that's an ass for ya. Is that really enough of a reason to toss away any credibility over this nasty piece of BS? Your mouthfarts help keep the status quo with cotton poisons, crude oil wars and plastic pollution. Millions could be utilizing the earths most versatile plant, but not for American family farmers since its all lumped together as a schedule#1 narcotic, by more lies. You are a disgusting creature and as stated, an ass. Now nothing you say is worth hearing because of this one short paragraph of gossip. I really didn't need to say that just to post Hemp info. I do that anyway, but it does a body good to expose liars. Especially the weak cowards hiding behind bogus laws for the sole purpose of profit, on the misery of others. You're one sick puppy dude. Here's a start, say when, ass.

The Ganjawar Comes to the The Rez

Industrial Hemp: A Sustainable Alternative to Problematic Raw Materials
The Bronner family is committed to helping transition our major industries away from polluting, unsustainable materials and methods to cleaner, sustainable ones. Hemp’s excellent fiber can replace virgin timber pulp in paper, glass fibers in construction and automotive composites, and pesticide-intensive cotton in textiles. Because of its huge market potential and high biomass/cellulose content, hemp is an ideal future crop for producing bio-ethanol and bio-plastics. However, the U.S. government, alone among the major industrialized nations, effectively prohibits domestic hemp cultivation — due primarily to the “reefer madness” and confusion regarding hemp’s psychoactive cousin, “marijuana.” In 2001, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), under the Bush administration, attempted to destroy the U.S. hemp industry, issuing regulations purporting to interpret existing law to declare hemp illegal and seizing shipments of hemp seed and oil at the Canadian border.

Hemp Is Serious Business
Hemp is fast becoming a staple of daytime TV as Oprah, Dr. Oz and others extol the health virtues of hemp oil, protein powders and pasta. At the same time, industrial interests tout it as a potential base for products ranging from textiles to car parts. As a result, demand is surging in the United States, Germany and Japan. Now the market, while still small, is growing by about 10 per cent a year, with annual sales estimated between $350-million and $400-million

Canadian Hemp Trade Alliance
As a fast–growing annual, hemp is a renewable, reusable and recyclable resource. Changing environmental in the world’s business community are helping to turn these green attributes into a valued quality.
Hemp is Federally Regulated
Canadian Hemp production was officially discontinued in 1938. In 1994, Health Canada began issuing hemp research licenses again. In March 1998, Health Canada allowed commercial production of the crop under a licensing system. In 2010 it was estimated that 25,000 acres were grown. Hemp has been grown with success from coast–to–coast.

Canadian “hemp car” to be on the market by 2013
Soon, you’ll be able to drive hemp. Literally, thanks to the Kestrel car, named after the colorful raptor...

“Plus, it’s illegal to grow it in the U.S., so it actually gives Canada a bit of a market advantage,” said Armstrong to the CBC.

Industrial Hemp Production in Canada
In 2010, area licensed for hemp production increased by almost 94 percent across Canada over in 2009

Currently, there are many Canadian companies – including Hempola Valley Farms; Fresh Hemp Foods; Ruths Hemp Foods; HMF Sales and Marketing; Hemp Oil Canada; Cool Hemp; and Natures Path, etc.; working to develop and market products made from hemp seed. Many of these companies have strong regional distribution but there is no clear national leader yet. All of these companies are involved in the hemp seed market and are producing a wide range of products. These are snack foods, hemp meal and flour, edible oil, shampoo and conditioners, moisturizers, commercial oil paints, beer and aromatherapy and cosmetic products. Most of the companies are reporting good growth. Another trend worth noting is that much of the hemp food industry has switched to certified organic production because of strong demand. A few industry experts estimate that around 1/3 of Canadian hemp seed production is certified organic.

A Brief Summary of the Uses of Hemp
Practical, inexpensive fire-resistant construction material, with excellent thermal and sound-insulating qualities, is made by heating and compressing plant fibers to creat strong construction paneling, replacing dry wall and plywood. William B. Conde of Conde's Redwood Lumber, Inc. near Eugene, Oregon, in conjunction with Washington State University (1991-1993), has demonstrated the superior strength, flexibility, and economy of hemp composite building materials compared to wood fiber, even as beams.

Isochanvre, a rediscovered French building material made from hemp hurds mixed with lime, actually petrifies into a mineral state and lasts for many centuries. Archeologists have found a bridge in the south of France, from the Merovingian period (500-751 A.D.), built with this process. (See Chenevotte habitat of Rene, France in Appendix I.)

Hemp has been used throughout history for carpet backing. Hemp fiber has potential in the manufacture of strong, rot resistant carpeting - eliminating the poisonous fumes of burning synthetic materials in a house or commercial fire, along with allergic reactions associated with new synthetic carpeting.

Plastic plumbing pipe (PVC pipes) can be manufactured using renewable hemp cellulose as the chemical feedstocks, replacing non-renewable coal or petroleum-based chemical feedstocks.

So we can envision a house of the future built, plumbed, painted and furnished with the world's number-one renewable resource

Hemplastic or Fossil Fools Crud

For over fifty years the United States has been committed to a policy of suppressing the "abuse" of narcotic and other "dangerous" drugs. The primary instrument in carrying out this policy has been the criminal sanction. The results of this reliance on the criminal sanction have included the following:
(1) Several hundred thousand people, the overwhelming majority of whom have been primarily users rather than traffickers, have been subjected to severe criminal punishment.
(2) An immensely profitable illegal traffic in narcotic and other forbidden drugs has developed.
(3) This illegal traffic has contributed significantly to the growth and prosperity of organized criminal groups.
(4) A substantial number of all acquisitive crimes - burglary, robbery, auto theft, other forms of larceny - have been committed by drug users in order to get the wherewithal to pay the artificially high prices charged for drugs on the illegal market.
(5) Billions of dollars and a significant proportion of total law enforcement resources have been expended in all stages of the criminal process.
(6) A disturbingly large number of undesirable police practices - unconstitutional searches and seizures, entrapment, electronic surveillance have become habitual because of the great difficulty that attends the detection of narcotics offenses.
(7) The burden of enforcement has fallen primarily on the urban poor, especially Negroes and Mexican-Americans.
(8) Research on the causes, effects, and cures of drug use has been stultified.
(9) The medical profession has been intimidated into neglecting its accustomed role of relieving this form of human misery.
(10) A large and well-entrenched enforcement bureaucracy has developed a vested interest in the status quo, and has effectively thwarted all but the most marginal reforms.
(11) Legislative invocations of the criminal sanction have automatically and unthinkingly been extended from narcotics to marijuana to the flood of new mind-altering drugs that have appeared in recent years, thereby compounding the preexisting problem. A clearer case of misapplication of the criminal sanction would be difficult to imagine.

The original Canadian Hemp Car {following link), does run on Hemp oil, same as Willie's Bus. I prefer the hemp oil for its nutritional value. Keep it in the freezer and eat it raw. It won't freeze. Oil not for consuming in body oils and nothing treats and prevents skin break down better through nutrition, not petroleum skin dryers that only require more applications. The non psychoactive Hemp oil and seed protein have medicinal qualities as well as efa's. For lubricants and paints that would reduce OPEC's addiction even more. Used by the pioneers to deter bedbugs laying the stalks under the mattress. Motels could learn from this. Pioneers using the hemp covered wagons and hemp canvas ship sails and rigging to get here. Wooden ships would have sunk without hemp oakum. The stalks and three types of fiber would also reduce OPEC crude plastic and polyfiber clothing. Practically eliminate the 90 million pounds of crude oil based poisons used on the cotton crop. There are probably oil plants that yield more than the tiny hemp seed. Biomass fuel, using the stalks is another alternative. Setting up local truck-stops as Willie Nelson has done would provide communities with their own needs. It seems Willie’s Place Theater is closing and the Carl’s Corner truck stop is changing hands. Willie Nelson biodiesel plant, located beside the truck stop, is not effected and will remain in his control, with other partners. Cut out the transportation leaks and cost. Especially from the leaking oil tankers. The plant is so versatile it could be utilized thousands of ways. as it was intended in 1937 before the prohibition of competition.

Even before you use the plant it is beneficial just growing. The roots are as long as the stalk, sometimes 20 ft., aerating the soil, bringing back nature's fertilizers in insect and worm castings. Chokes weeds that provide kindling for the wild fires.Grown on hills to prevent mudslides. Redress fields for flax and other plants that drain nutrients. Border crops as pest and weed deterrents without poison chemicals. Then use the plant for more products. Sometimes 2 even 3 crops a year. Greater yield and tensile strength than trees that provide O2 and fresh water and an intricate part of the ecosystem helping thousands of species. Not dead. Clear-cutting trees for mountaintop removal to get at coal is ridiculous. Nukes we know are crazy-time. Fossil fools are just stupid and how the people stay in denial is beyond imagination. We fight wars and kill Americans when farmers are going bankrupt and no one in DC sees this? The blind leading the braindead.

The use of hemp could be used for so much good but as far as fuel goes wouldn't that produce the same problem as using corn? There's only so much land that you can delegate to the farming of any plant for fuel production. We need to get away from "burning shit" for energy.

Corn stalks would be fine. Using the food (ears) was Big Oil sabotage knowing it would drive up food prices for the poor, who overwhelmingly use corn as a staple. Hemp stalks have no food use. Farmers used all of the green scraps left after harvest. Alcohol has been distilled for centuries. Bio diesel can be made from various oil plants, including hemp, but again the hemp oil is nutritional and the oil not food grade can be for replacing hydrocarbon plastic and lubricants. Bio fuels are carbon neutral so they are better than fossil fuel but won't remove the extra CO2 we have been accumulating the past century of use. I think electricity is the way to go if we can produce it without fossil fools and nukes. Disney's monorail runs on electro magnets. Still, like electric cars, polluting more than gasoline due to the transmission losses from the power plant to the car and by using coal to produce the electric. Less in traffic and inner cities but overall not the answer imho. The one thing we need to change is the modes of transportation and generally the way we are set up to waste fossil fools instead of smart farming and energy use. We have lower gas prices due to subsidies that could go to alternatives. Making alcohol has never been a problem for Americans. The sun puts out enough energy in one second to run the factories, homes and all of the vehicles for a hundred years. But it does no good as long as money can influence legislation. Until we prevent corporations from sabotaging, shelving cures and stifling ideas they will push their crud until the last drop is drained and the last tree is felled. Across the board corporatism is killing the country and entrepreneurs. I believe it's 75 years of cannabinoid deficiency closing the minds and hardening the hearts of the people. Making obedient servants for the status weird. Plus I've found great savings in brewing my own coffee instead of running out to Starbucks or the thousands of other things we have been inculcated into. For what I see is nothing more than profits. Same reason they prohibited cannabis and cellulose competition off the market for Dupont, Ethanol and Hemp. Until we deal with the fascism, it will be three steps forward 2 and 1/2 steps back on a good day. Did America forget Junior holding hands with the Saudi Prince and Cheney's back room oil deals? And how much of that 419 million is not in hemp marketing? I couldn't tell from all the shotgun of links, but it seems the data comes from hippie health food stores where people like the idea of consuming hemp products because they are made out of hemp. And then that data is extracted for an overall number.

So how many hemp bricks vs cement bricks were sold last year in Canada? How much hemp fiber building materials? How many auto parts? How many Canadian ships have nylon ropes vs. hemp rope and sails? How many reams of hemp paper vs wood paper? What about litres of gasoline vs. hemp?

Quote DeCon:What have you guys been smoking? Hemp is legal in Canada and no one uses it for anything, because there are better alternatives.

$419 million for a brand new raw material in a climate of old fossil fools without media advertizing or is it legal to grow here making everything at import prices and still a half billion in sales is a hell of a lot more than nothing gomer. The alternatives are why people are buying Hemp products goober. So I proved your lies are like little kids exaggerating about the monsters under their beds. Another coward afraid of safer natural alternatives is all I get out of your posts. You whine that no one uses it for anything. I show you hundreds of uses. You claim better alternatives and I show you that is a lie with the cotton poisons or leaking tankers or wars in the mid east all making hemp superior besides its physical versatility and tensile strength and organic growing. But you are an ass and then more squirming and more false claims. Pitifools are cowards. I have no respect for you. Gossiper.

Quote DeCon:I went through your links and, again, I wonder what your smoking. You say there was 419 million in retail help sales in the US for 2010. But we live in a 16 trillion dollar economy.

How much of $419 m in hemp sales is not in hemp marketing? What are you eating? Drunk again? If you have serious questions ask them. Your incoherent dribble over rules your own gossip. I believe you don't know your ass from a hole in the ground. You profit on prohibition and divert from the issues with pure BS and an attempt at doublespeak. You say no one is growing anything. I show you $419 m and then you run home crying that there is a trillion dollar market bla bla baw! You're nuts. Selling out your country for sickening profit on our misery as I said. I have no use of you.

What are you sucking on, tailpipes? Since when has it been a factor of sales determining what people grow or sell? You some commie dictator telling me I don't need Hemp so why legalize it? Free market eh? Nazi's are turning over in their graves in jealousy of you. It's an illicit product here and restricted in Canada ace, 16 trillion in legal products. Consumers and industry want it and I imagine Canada will increase supply to meet demand and all your gossip will continue to leave out American farmers. Hope your proud, ass. You can't grow it here duffis, that is the point you seem to miss. The US has even tried stopping Hemp from entering from Canada, and threatened markets if they sold it. The DEA blackmailed Canada they would close the borders if they legalized Ganja. As they threatened in the 90's when Canada started giving permits for hemp. You must hide your head in dirt holes every-time reality gets close. Don't be afraid liar. I'm sure a kiss up like you will find work when Hemp overtakes your baby killing synthetics. Law suits lasted years when the DEA tried stopping imports. Busting Indians on supposedly sovereign land for trying to get off welfare. Your not even a good GOPervert. Lawsuits are still not settled completely as for food consumption. The DEA hasn't tried stopping bird seed trucks lately, but the atmosphere is still shaky for entrepreneurs to risk on the whims of low down crooked cops and politicians, most likely like you con.

The Ganjawar Comes to the The Rez

Under these circumstances, there is nothing doing better in the history of selling shit. Because of gossiping people like you and I use that term people loosely. The politics alone deters and stigmatizes mainstream from adopting it. 10 years ago was worse and every year it gets better, but its still a subject for worms like you to bold face lie about. Spreading fear, relating it to drugs. After all that, and your sneezing at 419 million dollars in sales. Or comparing it to total sales of everything legal is dishonest and you show your motives. Chump, as I said. When it is legit to grow here by anyone without restrictions it will overtake the killer products you push. Not as with Canada's restrictions. Farmers are requesting more acreage since the government allocates only so much. Can't produce what they won't let you grow ace. The lies are the only thing holding it back. Even your gossip is seen as lame nowadays. In the 90's idiots like you could spew lies and it was harder to prove them liars, just saying whatever to stigmatize and demonize. But today? Listen up, and this is why you are an ass. I've shown you where you can buy it dumbass. Online. Saying it can't when anyone can see it does is childish at best. I'd say you are so obedient reality doesn't matter to you. Just a troll.

I gave you stores where they sell it. Marketing is the American way to sell things. The Canadian Ag gave the numbers. Again its still basically a controlled substance so it hasn't the ability to reach more people, or the legal means to grow more to meet new customers needs. Censored school books and most of the media with the net and word of mouth the only advertising. Plus Canada is one country listed at 419 million. Put it along side of fossil fools in a free open market and then see the numbers jump. As it has been, as I've shown you and as you run away tripping on your own untied shoe laces that can be made of hemp too. You can't name me one thing doing better in trial runs? Or more versatile and safer than the status quo. You don't realize how many people despise your lies and you for making them sick when they don't have to be. Just nark crap keeping your wall st gods happy. No lower life form as far as I can see. Give me a junkie over a nark any-day. Again nothing new, just another ass to cast doubt on something that has no level playing field and is constantly mixed in with the drug war propaganda. Imagine Goliath whining like a punk over tiny little David kicking his ugly lying ass. I think it's comical when you becktards protest alternatives to the poisons that make your own families sick. Human cartoons is how i see you Elmer Fudd. I think you're a typical idiot making profits on prohibition and won't accept reality even when I smack you in the face with it. You're mixing apples and oranges trying to make lemonade. if you think it should be equal to cotton or meat or crude oil plastic when its been outlawed 75 years before 1998, and is still for American farmers, all I can say is your BS keeps them being forfeitured for lack of a cash crop. So when fingers eventually start pointing you will be on the receiving end and all I can do is pray for real Justice. I hope each and every lying sack of dog shit pays for their lies in view of public eyes and the millions of victims. From cancer that banned research kept from cures to the asthma from the fossil fools when hemp alternatives would have prevented it and Ganja meds would have stopped it. All because of gossipers like you narkoboy.

Quote DeCon:So how many hemp bricks vs cement bricks were sold last year in Canada?

Thats totally idiotic for a new substance or product, let alone an illicit one in most places. South of France has bridges made from it, go count them sénior moot. Each year I've shown you increases in sales. Are we breeding more hippie consumers? Dr Oz and Oprah were only the beginning. Hempoil's Omega 3 is omega 3, now go take a big gulp of your crud oil and tell me the alternatives are the same. Plenty of reasons to let Americans grow it and then let the people decide what they want to buy. Get off your knees. Your flat out lies trying to say its unworthy because it hasn't topped status quo sales means nothing. Nothing could. Hemp is a stronger, safer product and when it is established it will compete with anything on the market. How many Hemp brick commercials have you seen ace? As it is people buy it for the quality over the quantity sold that has absolutely no meaning. You made false claims and I showed you truth and now you continue to weasel out of it. Not surprised. Half a billion in sales is a start, but it is half a billion you lied about saying they weren't growing anything. Except it does give me cause to post more info. When I feel like it. It also begs the question of why someone would attempt to trash anything someone brings forth to help the situation. Like a scorned lover you are not rational in your demonizing a non psychoactive fiber as if it was a Pharm drug like crack. What are you afraid of child?

Quote DeCon:How much hemp fiber building materials? How many auto parts? How many Canadian ships have nylon ropes vs. hemp rope and sails? How many reams of hemp paper vs wood paper? What about litres of gasoline vs. hemp?

Again how many the first few years out of total prohibition is not the point. It is a viable alternative is the point. Car makers like Mercedes are converting because it is a superior product and grows cheaper, in an open non prohibitive market. Time will increase sales ass, that's what you pull your hair out about. Your poisons are on the way out. Restricted amounts make no logical sense to compare with unrestricted status quo. Any Hemp product made from food to bricks are better quality and price will drop when it is not imported. So shuck and jive all day ass, you still got nothing and still say nothing. How many is not the question, how well does it preform and how safe is it compared to the poisons and OPEC you worship, better and cheaper in a legitimate market. You have anything else to drool out, let me know. Hemp will kick your ass when it is taken out of the bogus status it is it will out number sales too. So once again I show you your lies and once again you cry like a baby spewing falsehoods. Bring it on mfer! Oh but I've already ask you for that and you bring nothing. So my original post stands. You're an ass... Shame on your ignorance. Put up or shut up. Here's some more info for the people to judge for themselves. Eurika! Are we going to ask them to go through row by row, field by field, to distinguish between legal hemp and marijuana?" "The ONDCP is wrong in its characterization of industrial hemp advocates, and there is no evidence that farmers who grow industrial hemp are hiding marijuana plants in their fields, whether in Canada or anywhere else," says Vote Hemp President Eric Steenstra. "Because cross pollination of low THC industrial hemp and high THC marijuana is inevitable illicit marijuana growers avoid industrial hemp fields to protect the potency of their drug crop.

Like Neocons, maybe that's where they learned it. Words seem to be tools to an end and actual meaning doesn't matter. They just spout nonsense or threats and hope it sticks. Willie Nelson: Excerpts on Hemp and the Family Farm

Hemp For Houses

So in a free society DeCons think they can dictate what we can use to build homes or cars or clothing? How does that even sink into a free society? How can anyone living in a free society become so delusional to believe their opinions should be laws prohibiting everyone else, from a wood product stronger than trees? Where do they learn such things outside of Tiananmen Square? Sick way to practice American. To lie keeping competition sales down might be considered shoddy business. Pushing poisons and unsafe processes for nothing but profit and lying to keep safer products prohibited is criminal, diabolical, unscrupulous, mean dirty filthy and not nice. Shame on the dung worriers!

Willie Nelson Interview: Hemp and the Family Farm Time 4 Hemp
Willie Nelson called me one day and asked if he could appear as a guest in our Time 4 Hemp Studios and discuss how hemp can help the family farm. On 6/6/91 we taped live. later, on Hemp Tour ' 91 with Jack Herer, author "The Emperor Wears No Clothes" and I, with the help of hemp activists, all ten shows were seen in 99 cities in 44 states.

Low Cost Paper, Textiles, Bio-Fuels, Nutrition, Medicines, & Plastics,

The lies about industrial hemp are prevalent in the public policy of the DEA as well. Steve Robertson, a DEA special agent in Washington, has also weighed in on the North Dakota debate with similar statements. On May 3, 2006 in the Grand Forks Herald story "State's first hemp farming rules aimed at clearing federal hurdle," he said:

"The DEA does not have the authority to change existing federal law ... It's very simple for us: The law is there and we enforce the law ... We are law enforcement, not lawmakers."

"It's interesting that Special Agent Robertson pretends that the DEA is purely a law enforcement entity, as they are not," says Tom Murphy, National Outreach Coordinator for Vote Hemp. "Like many Federal agencies, the DEA has been granted broad authority by Congress to interpret the statutes in the United States Code, such as the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). This includes re-scheduling substances and promulgating detailed rules and regulations. The DEA could easily negotiate industrial hemp farming rules with North Dakota under the Administrative Procedures Act, 5 USC 563. It is obvious that the current rules are not set up for farmers to grow an agricultural crop that has no potential for use as a drug" says Mr. Murphy. "Instead the DEA chooses to interfere in the legislative process by confusing legislators, reporters and the public with needless and misleading rhetoric." ~ Vote Hemp

First Hemp Licenses Issued By Blake Nicholson
Source: Bismarck Tribune February 07, 2007 N.D.
North Dakota officials have issued the nation's first licenses to grow industrial hemp, though they do not guarantee that farmers will actually be able to grow the crop. Farmers Dave Monson and Wayne Hauge, who got the state licenses Tuesday, still must meet federal requirements before they can plant their fields. The Drug Enforcement Administration requires a $2,293 annual registration fee, which is nonrefundable even if the agency does not grant a farmer permission to grow hemp. $419 million thwarted by the DEAth... Quote DdC: $419 million for a brand new raw material in a climate of old fossil fools without media advertizing or is it legal to grow here making everything at import prices and still a half billion in sales is a hell of a lot more than nothing gomer. [sic]

Well, call it a billion, out of 16 thousand billion, which is .006 %, which is not nothing, but very close. But sure, .006 is not 0.

Quote DdC:You claim better alternatives and I show you that is a lie with the cotton poisons or leaking tankers or wars in the mid east all making hemp superior besides its physical versatility and tensile strength and organic growing.

10 years for a new product? Whatever.

Pick a country then, according to wikki, "Hemp is thus legally grown in many countries across the world including Spain, China, Japan, Korea, England, France, Africa, North Africa, Egypt and Ireland.

Apparently China is the largest current producer, exporting much of it to the US. Are you saying if Hemp was great the Chinese wouldn't use to build everything from cars to cans? Japan apparenly makes a few clothing items but apparently that is it. In Spain and Europe it is being used for ciggerette paper, pulp, animal bedding and some specialty papers in Europe. So there you go! You proved me wrong. Hemp can actually be used to clean up shit!

And it was widely used in the USSR - a pinnacle of economic effiency - for rope - but no one does that now because hemp rope disinegrates compared to nylon.

So, once again I ask, how many hemp bricks vs. cement bricks are being produced? How much hemp fiber building materials? How many auto parts? Hemp Cars vs. Non-Hemp Cars? What about litres of gasoline vs. hemp? How many houses, cities, manufacturing plants, WHATEVER measure you choose.

And please, stop the insults - they make you look like you have been smoking way to much weed.

Quote Karolina:We all know that we need our trees, and that they take decades, maybe even centuries, to mature. The idea of hemp paper instead of wood paper seems very appealing, provided the quality is similar.

Cutting down the remaining old growth trees to make roads for clear-cutting timber is blasphemous. Some of the 2000+ yr old growth forests actually produced oxygen and fresh water for Jesus. More than any plastic symbol, that should be sacrilegious to Christians, and many of them are doing it or using the products....

Sky's the limit. Let the Free Trade Market deal with it and I have faith in American ingenuity and entrepreneurs to make a short stay of localizing necessities away from international corporations and government over reach. Nothing has embarrassed the American psyche or insulted the fore fathers more than drug war secret searches, sneak peaks, no warrant, no knock, mistaken identities. Lumping Hemp and Medicinal into narcotics lists and no one noticed? Too busy making a big damn deal out of a two bit break in. More dead dogs, dead kids, dead patients than common decency can even comprehend being tolerated let alone permissible. Many dictators have used the terms "for the children". The DEA is not only out of control, they are traitors to the Constitution, either by over enforcement or by the complete stupidity of legislators giving any group unlimited authority. These are blatant in your face violations of checks and balances. At the end of the day its the same old stuff. No matter what intentions, it is keeping safe alternatives from the people. All anyone has ever ask was to test it in an open unbiased double blind test. Show one document of proof cannabis is dangerous. Giving the ONDCP the ability to lie legally and distort facts. Manipulate statistics and confiscate bank accounts, homes and children on the word of a snitch. All to keep mostly Hemp from being produced in the same manner as it has been for centuries.

Using modern technology the same as any other raw material. Without trolls and DEA legal propaganda. Any parent knows when a kid says don't look there, that's the first place to look. To bury our heads or be lied too and accept it makes bad parents. If we can grow cheap homes we can end homelessness. That doesn't appeal to a market selling crappy toxic prefabs at inflated prices. Or allow real estate markets from continuing racist segregation. But I think adults are starting to grow up. Maybe guilt in some. Embarrassment in others. Probably very insulting to doctors and engineers hearing this stuff from me. But they'll get over it. Hopefully I'll piss off someone enough to check it out. The sole boring argument by those making profits on or from the drugwar is that Hemp will open the doors for "marihuana", when cannabis is safer than aspirin and thousands times less than booze. 30,000/1 death ratio Ganja for 10/1 for booze' . Whatever gets you inebriated... times the ratio... is how much it takes to kill you. So if one joint got you high it would take 30,000 in one sitting to kill, whereas if one pint of whiskey got you drunk then 10 would kill you. Just to keep hemp, medicinal cannabis and Ganja buds from the people. Appalling, and no way for Americans to act.

Why hemp paper? I thought wood was best.
☛Annual plants such as flax and hemp have been used in papermaking for thousands of years.
☛Producing pulp and paper casts an ecological shadow far beyond its impact on the world's forests. Converting trees into paper uses large amounts of water, energy, and chemicals and generates vast amounts of air and water pollution.
☛The pulp and paper industry is the fifth largest consumer of energy, accounting for 4 percent of all the world's energy use.
☛The pulp and paper industry uses more water to produce a ton of product than any other industry.
☛Flax and hemp yield longer fibers and can assist in creating high quality paper when added to shorter fiber resources such as recycled office paper (post-consumer waste).

Hemp as Paper
Hemp fabric was smashed down into thin sheets to make the world's first paper. 75-90% of all paper in the world was made with hemp fiber until 1883. The Gutenberg Bible, Thomas Paine's pamphlets, and the novels of Mark Twain were all printed on hemp paper. Both the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence were drafted on hemp, and then copied onto parchment.

Hemp Pulp vs. Tree Pulp for Paper
Making paper from trees is kind of a joke, because trees are made up of only 30% cellulose. The other 70% of the tree must be removed using toxic chemicals, until the cellulose can be formed into paper. The higher the percentage of cellulose in a plant, the better, because fewer chemicals need to be used, and less work needs to be done before the paper can be made. Almost any plant in nature with a strong stalk is better suited to make paper than trees, especially hemp because it can be 85% cellulose.

Deforestation
Since 1937, when hemp was effectively outlawed, 70% of American natural forests have been destroyed. Today, only 4% of Americaís old-growth forest remains standing, and there is talk of building roads into that for logging purposes! Hemp growing could completely negate the necessity to use wood at all because anything made from wood can be made from hemp.
Thanks to Living Tree Paper company for these facts.

HEMP HERITAGE® PAPER

Brief Summary of the Uses of Hemp herer
3. FIBER & PULP PAPER
Hemp paper lasted 50 to 100 times longer than most preparations of papyrus, and was a hundred times easier and cheaper to make.

Hemp Paper hempowered
The U.S. Government, in association with this countries logging and paper interests, has built nearly half a million miles of logging roads in federally owned forests- more than 10 times the length of the Federal Interstate Highway System! Then, it sells the forest products to the timber and paper industry for less than it costs the Government to build the roads and administer the program. Logging roads are a major cause of mudslides and soil erosion, both of which ruin the spawning beds of Pacific salmon and other threatened species. American taxpayers are funding the decimation of our national forests only to read about it on newsprint made from those same trees. Meanwhile, the planet is being permanently robbed of precious old growth trees which provide critical oxygen and clean air levels necessary for maintaining the survival of the human race. Hemp paper is available today! Hemp is the worlds best paper making material from a quality, environmental and sustainability standpoint. One acre of hemp provides the same amount of pulping material grown in four acres.

Hemp Facts naihc

☛*Hemp has been grown for at least the last 12,000 years for fiber (textiles and paper) and food. It has been effectively prohibited in the United States since the 1950s.

ECOLOGY FACTS
☛*Hemp can be made into fine quality paper. The long fibers in hemp allow such paper to be recycled several times more than wood-based paper.
☛*Because of its low lignin content, hemp can be pulped using less chemicals than with wood. Its natural brightness can obviate the need to use chlorine bleach, which means no extremely toxic dioxin being dumped into streams. A kinder and gentler chemistry using hydrogen peroxide rather than chlorine dixoide is possible with hemp fibers.
☛*Hemp can displace cotton which is usually grown with massive amounts of chemicals harmful to people and the environment. 50% of all the world's pesticides are sprayed on cotton.
☛*Hemp can displace wood fiber and save forests for watershed, wildlife habitat, recreation and oxygen production, carbon sequestration (reduces global warming), and other values.
☛*Hemp can yield 3-8 dry tons of fiber per acre. This is four times what an average forest can yield.

INDUSTRY FACTS
☛*Henry Ford experimented with hemp to build car bodies. He wanted to build and fuel cars from farm products.
☛*BMW is experimenting with hemp materials in automobiles as part of an effort to make cars more recyclable.
☛*Much of the bird seed sold in the US has hemp seed (it's sterilized before importation), the hulls of which contain about 25% protein.
☛*Hemp oil once greased machines. Most paints, resins, shellacs, and varnishes used to be made out of linseed (from flax) and hemp oils.
☛*Rudolph Diesel designed his engine to run on hemp oil.
☛*Kimberly Clark (on the Fortune 500) has a mill in France which produces hemp paper preferred for bibles because it lasts a very long time and doesn't yellow.
☛*Construction products such as medium density fiber board, oriented strand board, and even beams, studs and posts could be made out of hemp. Because of hemp's long fibers, the products will be stronger and/or lighter than those made from wood.
☛*The products that can be made from hemp number over 25,000.
☛*The US State Department must certify each year that a foreign nation is cooperating in the war on drugs. The European Union subsidizes its farmers to grow industrial hemp. Those nations are not on this list, because the State Department can tell the difference between hemp and marijuana.

HEMP FOR FUEL: Energy Farming in America
Pyrolysis has been used since the dawn of civilization. Ancient Egyptians practiced wood distillation by collecting the tars and pyroligneous acid for use in their embalming industry. Methanol-powered automobiles and reduced emissions from coal-fired power plants can be accomplished by biomass conversion to fuel utilizing pyrolysis technology, and at the same time save the American family farm while turning the American heartland into a prosperous source of clean energy production.

HEMP IS THE NUMBER ONE biomass producer on planet earth: 10 tons per acre in approximately four months. It is a woody plant containing 77% cellulose. Wood produces 60% cellulose. This energy crop can be harvested with equipment readily available. It can be "cubed" by modifying hay cubing equipment. This method condenses the bulk, reducing trucking costs from the field to the pyrolysis reactor. And the biomass cubes are ready for conversion with no further treatment.

THE REAL REASON HEMP IS ILLEGAL!
And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land. — Ezekiel 34/29
Hemp has a higher quality fiber than wood fiber. Far fewer caustic chemicals are required to make paper from hemp than from trees. Hemp paper does not turn yellow and is very durable. The plant grows quickly to maturity in a season where trees take a lifetime.

☛US Decrees That Marijuana Has No Accepted Use
The Coalition for Rescheduling Cannabis filed its petition in October 2002. In 2004, the DEA asked the Department of Health and Human Services to review the science. The department recommended in 2006 that marijuana remain classified as a dangerous drug. Four and a half years then elapsed before the current administration issued a final denial. "We have foiled the government's strategy of delay, and we can now go head-to-head on the merits," said Joe Elford, the chief counsel for Americans for Safe Access and the lead attorney on the lawsuit.

Quote DeCon:Pick a country then, according to wikki, "Hemp is thus legally grown in many countries across the world including Spain, China, Japan, Korea, England, France, Africa, North Africa, Egypt and Ireland.

Yes it is, and not here where Americans with the infrastructure can produce products and jobs. The old world countries use it as hemp has been used. Not modern technology in rural farms they use it as burlap and canvas and ropes, rigging and gruel. China theaters use seeds "ma" as popcorn. Russian gruel oatmeal. Old ways of utilizing hemp by countries not known for technology. Germany, Italy, France and Spain are producing products from hemp plastic to medicinal research the US covered up in 74 when they outlawed research. That act alone should make the hairs stand up on your arms. Blocking medicinal research and hiding cancer reduction tests? We are only scratching the surface on what this ancient plant can do, has done and will do. In spite of your silly diversions and gossip.

Quote DeCon:Apparently China is the largest current producer, exporting much of it to the US.

Romania has better clothing, Dozens of hemp strains prohibition has scattered, intermixed and climate is a factor in what you want out of the hemp crop. Seed, fiber medicine? China is producing industrial use hemp but most food and oil products are from Canada or some from Chili. With constant threats from the International Narkosluts. There is a North American treaty giving Canada the monopoly in growing hemp. You don't see that as an infringement on American Industry? Reality is most countries buckle to the American Drug War. Thailand gets Military aid and training. Most that grow it depending on favorite nation trade status do what Wall St dictates DC do. Grow for themselves. But even with the big bad wolf huffing and puffing people are creating a market. $419 for food is a joy and blessing and a brighter future can come of it because we have seen when there was no thought of a future. We knew about the qualities and no one heard because of censorship. Now you still think your silly ass talk will stop anyone who can read? You're boring me.

Quote DeCon:Are you saying if Hemp was great the Chinese wouldn't use to build everything from cars to cans?

Not with Oil reserves and wells in the mid east anymore than Carnegie wanted Ford's Hempcar replacing his inferior sheet metal. Or Rockefellers crude wanted farmers distilling their own ethanol. Or Rocksmeller hydrocarbon plastic give shelf space to carbohydrate plastic. 90 million pounds of poison sold for the cotton crop not sold for hemp. When the last drop of crud is used I'm sure China will use hemp more. Now its a moot boring red herring from reality. You have no right to choose what products we get to use?

Quote DeCon:Japan apparenly makes a few clothing items but apparently that is it.

Apparently you're still an ass so what's the point? Hit google hemp clothing. Japan has used it for several ceremonies, several countries have them for celebrating the hemp plant. Sumo robes and the ring rope itself. Most holy robes in all older religions are hemp. Pope's linen and robes. Sumo wrestlers ring and suits have to be specific hemp. Oh but I forgot you care less and only spew gossip because you make a living on prohibition eh? Fess up jerk? Japan uses it for a few clothing items? I buy mine from Romania. More blends for lingerie from Asia. But your point is moot as far as utilizing the plant without the money market or government. Can't tax veggies.

Quote DeCon:In Spain and Europe it is being used for ciggerette paper, pulp, animal bedding and some specialty papers in Europe. So there you go! You proved me wrong. Hemp can actually be used to clean up shit!

Hemp 'Eats' Chernobyl Waste
Its used for litter boxes due to the odor eating properties, same with socks absorbing sweat and smell without your garbage chemical poisons. You bring one description and think that tells the reality or potential? I can see you protecting your job but you are only keeping others from jobs by this gossip. You don't site refs or obviously think about how you talk out of both sides of your mouth telling us no and yes simultaneously. It is or it isn't dude. If it can do what I say then there is no time limit on when to utilize it. It has properties that can replace OPEC and many harmful products and no amount of reefer madness idiocy will change that. Or convince anyone short of a teabog dipshit. Why hurt people when even you admit its useful properties in the past, and then apologize about present sales. Then continue with pointless quips about the unknown. You don't know how an American modern market would benefit with Hemp and Ganja. Especially using past lies that never pan out. Products I've shown you are being made by people. $419 million was made. Not made before that. OK I'm officially bored and you're still an ass.

Quote DeCon:And it was widely used in the USSR - a pinnacle of economic effiency - for rope - but no one does that now because hemp rope disinegrates compared to nylon.

Got that backwards ass, sunlight denigrates crude oil rope and salt water too. Hemp is still preferred, still used for most applications, but again your ignorance spews out and insults Russians. They can make whatever anyone else can make and they are. You read a DEA pamphlet or one page of one site like its the end. It's only the beginning. 25,000 products illiterate. Today that could double. Computers and car parts are just starting. Your point is too forget about it because it hasn't taken over the world markets or as I suspect you're a troll with no point. Well ass all you do is turn this thread into an ammo dump of hemp info. Not a problem. Yes and if you had a real brain like real humans you would know Russia has a vine type hemp Ruderalis. Short fiber and nothing like American hemp. They are starting to use imported hemp and time will tell. Climate usually isn't a factor.

Quote DeCon:So, once again I ask, how many hemp bricks vs. cement bricks are being produced?

I told you 27 1/16h quadillion. No one cares, the point you deny is it can replace them when the hurdles and/or lies are removed. When the people lead the leaders follow or fall. Don't stand in the doorway or block up the halls. Get your dumbass out of the way of the people..

Quote DeCon:How much hemp fiber building materials?

Again it can replace it, some things are recent discoveries and thanks to complete imbeciles, re-discovered. The market is growing and you are still an ass. Sorry I'd like to change my evaluation but you continue mouthfarting.

Quote DeCon:How many auto parts?

Ask the auto parts mfgers. It is making auto parts, is the only thing the people need to know. Why has it been hidden is the better question? You think you can put this info back in the bottle, you're nuts. Nothing weirder than an ass that's nuts if you ask me.

Quote DeCon:Hemp Cars vs. Non-Hemp Cars?

Hemp cars grown from the ground up, fun on hemp oil or hemp biomass has been conquered. When import cost are irrelevant because hemp can be grown outside of Detroit like Ford did. Cars will naturally go with the lighter, safer cheaper less polluting therefore less baby killing choice. Only those who care less about Americans and more about pictures of old dead white men on dead trees. You only show your contempt for America. We see your lies and expose them. How long do you think you can keep Hemp cars parts from companies? Ha.

Quote DeCon:What about litres of gasoline vs. hemp?

We use gallons. Biodiesel is available. Hemp is much better than kids huffing gasoline. Are you daft man? The fact that hemp can is the argument not reaching the people. You lie by insinuating Hemp isn't passing fossil fools because it's just rope and burlap and man made synthetics have replaced their needs. That somehow justifies making them narcotics and caging people having it in possession. You can spin this til you're dizzier than you seem now. The Laws of Physics say, you sir are an ass. If the people don't even know it can, how the hell do you think they could match status quo poisons in sales? Or infrastructure? You're as ass.

Quote DeCon:How many houses, cities, manufacturing plants, WHATEVER measure you choose.

btw did I mention you're an ass. It can replace them all. Give it a level playing field, remove the crud subsidies. It will take over. You think its theory or something you can spook away and its heeeeere. All you do is make us hate you for standing in the way of our relief and remedies. Medicine or gas prices your lies hinder legislation and politicians. Your BS and gossip and stupid dumbass red herring questions are witnessed by those out of work and in need of food, clothing and shelter. They see you prevent them from this free plant and you don't think they're pissed? You are becoming even less than an ass, ass. I have officially lost the last morsel of respect I may have had for you. I'll be happy to continue spanking your silliness. But it's you who need to reevaluate what it is you're trying to do? Stop hemp from the US or just stop people from getting needs met without Wall St? Neither reason is valid. Just greed and envy and whiskey drunk mean. In other words, an ass.

Quote DeCon:And please, stop the insults - they make you look like you have been smoking way to much weed.

Well since you said please, oh, but you're an ass, sorry it wouldn't be prudent at this juncture. They make me look like? Like you can see what I look like? You hearing little voices too? Czar-man got your tongue? Reads like you don't even know what you're talking about? Keep repeating moot points makes it seem like you lack basic comprehension skills. I give observation opinions and all of my data concludes that you are an ass. I prove it in a non ad hominem way. Your content makes you an ass, not my fault or problem. You are an insult to Americans imho.

Aren't some governments also involved in the illegal drug world? Wouldn't that also be one of the reasons hemp and cannabis are being kept illegal – its a lot more expensive if it's illegal?

Quote Dr Econ:So how many hemp bricks vs cement bricks were sold last year in Canada?
Quote Ddc: 27 1/16 triplezillion.

I think it is obvious that you cannot respond to the very simple idea that if Hemp was as great as you say it is, it would simply be more popular - especially in countries where it has been legal for years, or in some cases never made illegal.

You are great at sending people on blind links, of making completely ridiculous, insulting rants - (The market is growing and you are shrinking. shrinking... ding dong hit the bong the wicked DEAth is dead), but you cannot respond to this very simple point. I wonder why?

I think you're illiterate, you miss that link? Who lies through their teeth protecting deadly resources while burying their heads over safer alternatives? Retarded people are slower processing facts, but they can process them? You just say no while people die because of it. That is beyond reason or logic or American. Nazi obedience falling in line asking non pertinent questions to avoid answering the real ones. A Coward by any other name. But you are fading away chump. Your diversions can't keep up with the new products. Your lies and denials can't match science. Give it up. You ask how many car parts has Kosovo made when they have no reason to produce car parts. They produce animal feed for their own animals as they've done for hundreds of years. But that doesn't mean the veggie oil can't produce plastic or the stalks produce bricks. You ask how many did they produce as if it wasn't possible when I've shown you the products assbite. You trolls are wasting your time and harming kids. Live with it. The properties of Hemp are what I say or they are not. They fall under the laws of physics. Why non industrial countries haven't industrialized using hemp is self explanatory. Other than trolls like you who keep pleading for more red herrings. It doesn't matter what Non industrialized countries have or have not produced in numbers when they have no infrastructure for it. The US does, and is manufacturing with other countries Hemp. That is what you take from US farmers with your silly denialism. Hemp can make products that are safer than your carcinogenic fossil fools. The properties of Hemp will be utilized as soon as moneysluts like you die off or are in cages where they belong. You kill babies with your lies and wars for oil we don't need with hemp what can I say? You cyber stalking me now? Repeating your posts with nothing? How much sand is on the beach? You don't know, well I guess no one swims there. Hemp can produce and is producing products without the chemicals of cotton or the wars for oil or the pollution of exported cattle or the other things I showed you. Now you have this one thought in that dead brain and won't let it go. Countries are producing for themselves what Hemp has provided for centuries. It is also producing modern technological applications that you bury your head over. Your theory was flawed when you posted it and the 27 repeat times. Same diversion. But like I said beavis, the people can read for themselves. While you still seem to be a jerk afraid of the reality that your poisons are going out of business because Hemp is a natural and a superior product. Your post was as wrong as your lies you admit too. Now renege on your previous apology? Not to worry I never accepted it chump.

Economic Stability, Profitability, & Free Trade
http://www.electricemperor.com/eecdrom/HTML/EMP/02/ECH02_00.HTM

We believe that in a competitive market, with all facts known, people will rush to buy long-lasting, biodegradable “Pot Tops” or “Mary Jeans”, etc., made from a plant without pesticides or herbicides. Some of the companies who have led the way with these products are Ecolution, Hempstead, Marie Mills, Ohio Hempery, Two Star Dog, Headcase, and in Germany, HanfHaus, et al.

It’s time we put capitalism to the test and let the unrestricted market of supply and demand as well as “Green” ecological consciousness decide the future of the planet.

A cotton shirt in 1776 cost $100 to $200, while a hemp shirt cost $.50 to $1. By the 1830s, cooler, lighter cotton shirts were on par in price with the warmer, heavier, hempen shirts, providing a competitive choice.

People were able to choose their garments based upon the particular qualities they wanted in a fabric. Today we have no such choice.

The role of hemp and other natural fibers should be determined by the market of supply and demand and personal tastes and values, not by the undue influence of prohibition laws, federal subsidies, and huge tariffs that keep the natural fabrics from replacing synthetic fibers.

Sixty years of government suppression of information has resulted in virtually no public knowledge of the incredible potential of the hemp fiber or its uses.

By using 100% hemp or mixing hemp with cotton, you will be able to pass on your shirts, pants, and other clothing to your grandchildren. Intelligent spending could essentially replace the use of petrochemical synthetic fibers such as nylon and polyester with tougher, cheaper, cool, absorbent, breathing, biodegradable, natural fibers.

China, Italy, and Eastern European countries such as Hungary, Romania, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Russia, and Georgia currently make millions of dollars worth of sturdy hemp and hemp/cotton textiles—and could be making billions of dollars—annually.

These countries build upon their traditional farming and weaving skills, while the U.S. tries to force the extinction of this plant to prop up destructive synthetic technologies.

Even cannabis/cotton blend textiles were still not cleared for direct sale in the U.S. until 1991. The Chinese, for instance, are forced—by tacit agreement—to send us inferior ramie/cottons.

(National Import/Export Textile Company of Shanghai, Personal communication with author, April and May, 1983.)

As the 1990 edition of Emperor went to press, garments containing at least 55% cannabis hemp arrived from China and Hungry—with a huge import fee attached. It had to be first imported into Hong Kong and then re-exported to the U.S.—with quotas and a huge protective tariff to shield American synthetic fiber industries from competing with imported natural fibers such as hemp. In 1992 as we went to press, many different grades of 100% hemp fabric had arrived directly from China and Hungary. Now, in 1998, hemp fabric is in booming demand all over the world, arriving from Romania, Poland, Italy, Germany, et al. Hemp has been recognized as the hottest fabric of the 1990s by Rolling Stone, Time, Newsweek, Paper, Detour, Details, Mademoiselle, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Der Spiegel, ad infinitum. All ran major stories on industrial and nutritional hemp. More than any other plant on Earth, hemp holds the promise of a sustainable ecology and economy, as hemp rebuilds the soil.

Additionally, hemp grown for biomass could fuel a trillion-dollar per year energy industry, while improving air quality and distributing the wealth to rural areas and their surrounding communities, and away from centralized power monopolies. More than any other plant on Earth, hemp holds the promise of a sustainable ecology and economy.

Biochemical resources obtained from hemp can be used for literally tens of thousands of other products from paint to dynamite. Each application means new business opportunities and new jobs.

As each new hemp trade develops, money will flow from it to re-energize seemingly unrelated areas of the economy. The American worker and soon-to-be-rich entrepreneurs will bring millions of new jobs and new products to the marketplace.

They will also buy millions of homes, cars, and other non-hemp goods—or will they be hemp also?—thus stimulating a real economic expansion based on the “ripple-out” effect, rather than former president Reagan’s voo-doo “trickle-down” economies which, in fact, pumped money directly into the bloodstream of corporate America rather than benefitting the America’s heartland

Revived farms mean more purchases of equipment and each new business creates spin-off jobs in the shipping, marketing, and commodities areas.

Farms, banks, and investment houses would also realize large profits, and the billions of hemp-dollars in the legitimate economy would increase tax revenues and increase the liquid capital available for investment and purchasing of consumer goods.

Federal, state, and local governments would realize a windfall of hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenues without raising taxes or insanely continuing to poison the Earth.*

* “If the marijuana market was legal, state and federal governments would collect billions of dollars annually,” assistant professor of politics at Princeton University, Ethan Nadleman said. “Instead, they expend billions in what amounts to a subsidy of organized criminals.” (L.A. Times, Nov. 20, 1989, pg. A-18.)

George Soros’ Lindesmith Foundation is supporting many of the medical marijuana state initiatives currently going around the United States.

In fact, the Lindesmith Foundation, along with the Drug Policy Foundation, financially supported Dennis Peron’s medical marijuana initiative (Proposition 215) in California, that passed in 1996.

In 1997-98, Soros funded medical marijuana initiatives in such states as Washington, Oregon, Washington, D.C., Maine, and Colorado, and helped fund the referendum that was successful in stopping Oregon’s legislature and governor from re-criminalizing cannabis in June 1997.

ECONOMICS: Energy, Environment and Commerce

We predict that the net effect of ending American hemp prohibition will be to generate “ripple effect” economics — a revitalized American agriculture producing hemp as the raw material for a multitude of industries creating millions of good jobs for skilled and and semi-skilled professional workers throughout America.

We can make over 25,000 things with it. Farmers love it. Environmentalists love it. You can't get high from it. So why is it still illegal? But with a North American market that exceeds $300 million in annual retail sales and continued rising demand, industrial hemp could generate thousands of sustainable new jobs, helping America to get back on track.

Vegetable matter and minerals have competed with each other to become the dominant industrial input for almost 200 years. Factory farming bon apetite'
http://endingcannabisprohibition.yuku.com/topic/1700
Our society is showered with images of happy animals living on farms where the cows graze in lush green fields and the chickens have the run of the barnyard. This vision of free-roaming animals living out their days in sunny fields is very far from the reality. A majority of the animals that are raised for food live miserable lives in intensive confinement in dark, overcrowded facilities, commonly called "factory farms." Factory farming is an attitude that regards animals and the natural world merely as commodities to be exploited for profit. In animal agriculture, this attitude has led to institutionalized animal cruelty, massive environmental destruction and resource depletion, and animal and human health risks.

http://endingcannabisprohibition.yuku.com/topic/1241
U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) today called on a House-Senate conference committee to refrain from adding anti-environmental riders to the FY 2003 Omnibus Appropriations Bill. These last-minute provisions, which were not in the House or Senate bills, would greatly expand logging on public lands... As I scanned through the large volume of documentation gathered together to support the eradication of the beneficial Cannabis plant, I was unable to contain my outrage at our government for using so many chemicals to attempt to eradicate this plant and then expect me to believe that these chemicals do not have an adverse physical and environmental impact.... and on and on and on it goes...

Slave Labor Means Big Bucks For U.S. Corporations
http://endingcannabisprohibition.yuku.com/topic/520
Which western country never fully abolished slavery?

SLAVERY IS STILL LEGAL in the USA. Contrary to what we may learn in school, the American Civil War did not see the complete abolition of slavery in 1865. The 13th Amendment to their constitution reads "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude except as punishment for a crime..."

Great numbers of newly freed blacks were quickly 'convicted' and forced to work without pay in state prisons. For those unfortunates all that happened was that ownership of slaves transferred from private parties to the state. Today, with the advent of private, profit-making prisons and prison factories slavery still exists and is moving back to the private sector.

President Bush, in his great drug policy speech September 5, 1989, promised to double the federal prison population again, after it had already doubled under Reagan. He succeeded. In 1993, President Bill Clinton planned to redouble the number of prisoners again by 1996. As of March 1995 he is on schedule.*

Why wouldn't the fossil fools just jump all over Hemp, its clearly less polluting, its something the farmers can grow, it can be utilized locally, avoiding the transportations leaks and cost, it doesn't require wars. Oh DeCon you silly liar, this is why it isn't legal you blind fool...

"Paramilitary death squads are tearing apart Columbian families and culture as they defend U.S., Bush-Cheney Big Oil interests. ... Texaco and BP have hired local paramilitary groups for 'security,'... paramilitary gets seventy percent of its money from cocaine."

The Enron, Bush, Baker, Rockefeller connection
http://endingcannabisprohibition.yuku.com/topic/1279
1970 Bush loses Senate race to Lloyd Bentsen, despite $112,000 in contributions from a White House slush fund. Jim Baker is campaign chair. The Rockefeller and Bush families and their associates control most of the world's major drug and chemical companies virtually all of which are offshoots of I.G. Farben, the industrial base of Nazi Germany. Rockefeller's Standard Oil was 1/2 owner of I.G. Farben. For an entire article on this connection and how it explains the GW Bush administration see: baltech.org/lederman/ "The GW Bush Gang: IG Farben 2000"

Bush Crime Family
http://endingcannabisprohibition.yuku.com/topic/1293
"Each member of the family George Sr., George Jr., Neil, Jeb, Prescott, Wally has his own specialty of fraud. George Jr.'s specialty was insurance and security fraud. Jeb's specialty was oil and gas fraud. Neil's specialty was real estate fraud. Prescott's specialty was banking fraud. Wally's specialty was securities fraud. And George Sr.'s specialty? All of the above."

Looking behind the Bushes
http://endingcannabisprohibition.yuku.com/topic/1290
1942 Three firms with which Prescott Bush is associated are seized under the Trading with the Enemy Act.
1973Bush is named GOP national chair. Brings into the party the Heritage Groups Council, an organization with a number of Nazi sympathizers.

Teabogs soiling themselves that Obama's Birth Certificate isn't as credible as Don'l Trumps gossip, and he may have been born in Africa and therefore that atrocity equals trading with the Nazi's before the war, helping to finance Hitler, during war time and getting busted, and after from Dupont synthetic cellulose to Rockefellers crude oil infiltration, to Big Pharma, Dyncorps, Black Ops, Prison Inc, Prohibition Inc. and Halliburton Asbestos Co. It only proves if the GOP Neocons and their followers had a conscience, it must be insulated far better than their leaking nukes and tankers.

stay tuned...

Quote lovecraft:Dream on-can't even get it legalized in CA. Too much money being made keeping it illegal.

I don't know much about this "industry" at all, but I can't help wondering what would happen if people just stopped using it for a year or two? Would it then be made legal?

Like asking people to stop using gasoline for a year or 2-not going to happen.

Right. I figured as much.

Still, if it were possible, I think that it would be effective.

Oh well. Not my problem I guess — though the hemp plants for paper would be environmentally brilliant.

Give it up.

You can always tell when someone looses an arguement when they start insulting you, and trying to send you on blind links.

Either answer the question, or don't.
