Infowars Candidates?

2 posts / 0 new

I was looking through the California June 5th primary election packet yesterday and notice that George Miller, congressman for my distrcit (11) is being challenged by another Democrat, John Fitzgerald, whose platform reads like it comes off of Alex Jones's Infowars (or a Libertarian Democrat or Ron Paul Democrat). District 11 has been redistricted and Miller has lost a few communities in the process. Miller is fairly liberal but disappointed a lot of supporters by refusing to support effort to impeach Bush. Admittedly there are quite a few things that I agree with on Firtzgerald's platform but it will be interesting to see how he does at the polls. So are people seeing such candidates running against incumbents in their area?

Watch the El Cerrito debate on his website to get a better idea and why he is running against Miller. I like his positions so will probably vote for him. I've been a bit disappointed in Miller falling short of my expectations too. Time maybe to get rid of that dynasty. He might make a good interview for Thom who has had Miller on in the past.
