i saw a post about the bp oil spill ... also not long ago there were about 30 coal miners killed or trapped in west virginia .... the osha regulations are often times extreemly strickt , and most people in the work place don't think it's "cool" to be safe , or work safley .... so when a company wants to take advantage of this double standard it's not hard , they over look so many little things , the big things become easily un noticed . and buying off these saftey regulators only makes things worse and more dangerous for the workers ... if we want a trade off with productivity (saving time and money) and saftey , regulaters are gonna have to rationally work with workers and stop accepting bribes . we have to keep critical saftey plans , and identify the smaller less disasterous issues , and use some god damn sense

Why Chelsea Manning Is Going Free

In his eight years in office President Obama has waged a devastating war on whistleblowers, prosecuting more people under the Espionage Act than every single president - combined.

But that war on whistleblowers took a possible step towards armistice today when the President commuted the prison sentence of former US Army private Chelsea Manning.
