Silver and Gold as Stable Money?

While this idea might seem great in the minds of Republicans there's simply not enough of this material to really be circulated. The prices would be deflated, but so would the wages of the common every day person! With less money available there are a lot of social programs such as schools, repair of public property such as streets and highways and so many other things that would simply shut down without the funding that's needed to run them.
