Use MINIPROTESTING in Wisconsin to spread news of Walker's SMOKING GUN on union busting motives

Millions from the Koch brothers are poised to fund Scott Walker's recall defense of his governor's seat in Wisconsin. Here's how activists can counteract that on the streets. You can be the Truth Troops, and Occupy Commute Routes with miniprotests using this miniprotesting main sign inscription set:

Corner #1: There’s Video Proof that Gov. Walker’s Union Busting Legislation Was for Political NOT Fiscal Reasons

Corner #2: Walker CREATED the $137 Million Budget Shortfall Through Corporate Tax Giveaways

Corner #3: Walker Says to $500K Donor: Anti-Union Legislation Will “Divide and Conquer

Miniprotesting is a simple concept, conceived to get more message from less people. Unlike a generalized rally, the miniprotesting take on curbside activism uses a focused, running message conveyed through three main 30" x 40" signs displayed at eye level for motorists, each a block apart. These main signs are held waist high, while the three folks surrounding them hold traditional overhead signs on the same theme. It only takes a dozen people to make a miniprotest, so with 60 you can have five separate miniprotests along different commute routes around town such as clogged arteries to bridge or freeway onramps. In a rural environment three consecutive 4-way stop signs would work perfectly, also allowing motorists time to read the main messages.

To quantify the effect in advertising terms, this tactic yields a couple hundred "impressions" for each three-block-long protest string. But these impressions are far more potent than the advertising norm; using facts and the Socratic method they go a step farther, adding the power to convince.

Now apply the numbers of pissed progressives in Wisc. to this model. Add in Occupy Madison and other Occupy groups in state. That puts thousands of people in the mix for this kind of approach. Imagine the effect of 500 miniprotests, blanketing the state twice a week between now and the recall election. Inscriptions can be emailed to FedEx Office and printed out on their 36" roll paper. So with each new lie from Walker or the PACs that fund his effort, new inscriptions can be created and the lies disproven that same day if people are at the ready.

Live out the miniprotesting motto: On the Streets WE ARE HOPE.

Time to Rethink the War on Terror

When Eric Holder eventually steps down as Attorney General, he will leave behind a complicated legacy, some of it tragic, like his decision not to prosecute Wall Street after the financial crisis, and his all-out war on whistleblowers like Edward Snowden.
