Why won't the democrats prosecute the banksters?

Eric Holder constructed a task force to investigate wall street crooks. Since then what has happened? Nothing. Zero, zip, nada. In fact he has given them a total pass. According to Newsweek magazine, under Holder wall street prosecution is at a twenty year low. How does Newsweek explain this? Corruption. Plain and simple. Eric Holder has ties to the law firms who are representing the banks. He's in it with them. He is a bankster disguised as a law man. We must demand that Obama give us the transparency that he promised. Your democratic representatives have also clammed up. Somebody needs to show some guts and integrity and demand that the banksters be held to account.

Occupy W.S. is a waste of time. The banksters don't care about a mob of kids with signs. The banksters are protected by the Obama administration.

Shouldn't OWS be protesting at the justice department? It seems like every week Holder is involved in another scandal. At least no one has been killed in this one. Is it time for this greedy crook to go?

Probably found out the same

Probably found out the same thing as the Bush administration did, It is difficult in a financial criminal case to differentiate between illegal fraud and legal incompetence.

So no crimes happened? They left no evidence at all? He shouldn't prosecute because it would be difficult? Well he needs to explain this to Thom and those crazy occupy kids so they can stop wasting their time. Instead of demanding other people's money maybe they could clean themselves up and go earn their own living. Dude, that would be awesome.

Newsweek seems to think it's a little more complicated than you do. They checked into it.

If wallstreet did no wrong maybe he should say something. Instead he his simply ignoring it, running out the clock. I tend to agree with newsweek. He's in it up to his arse. We should not have to guess what his motives are. At the very least, he needs to explain himself. Right?

OK, rigel, if you want

OK, rigel, if you want agreement that the Holder approach is insider and that Obama represents the gentlest of change, we can agree that way too little has been done.  If we want to talk about the political context in which this takes place, you have to include the GOPimps you tend to leave out of the questions.  Progressives would love to have a full Banksters on Trial Circus with 24/7 tv coverage.

Do you understand that claiming to be a conservative and asking questions like this indicts yourself?

So why were 3000 criminal

So why were 3000 criminal referrals made after the S+L scandal? I've seen many former Reagan and Clinton officials express their surprise at the lack of proscecution after 4 years. There appears to be no will in this administration to file charges.

They count the votes and take

They count the votes and take few chances.  The errors are omission, not commission.  The partisans complain and may be right to call for more and sooner.  But they are not stupid or "lacking in will" so much as careful and unwilling to step into bottomless pit.  We all wish it were otherwise.

Nice try, but everytime a liberal screws up its not the fault of some GOPimp. Libs are capable of jacking things up all by their little selves.

I don't include republicans because they are not in charge. They never claimed that they were interested in going after Wallstreet. The progressives did. Holder and Obama are in charge of the justice department. The conservatives are powerless to stop them so why even bring them into the conversation? If there were crimes on Wall street, why won't Holder present evidence and prosecute? He does not need the permission of John Boehner.

Who could it be? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Could it be.................................................................. SATAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe. But it's probably corruption.  And the liberals who make excuses for Holder.

Holder is a crook.  You have

Holder is a crook.  You have to start there.  After that you have to realize the banksters make the rules.  How do you prosecute the highest power in the land?  They will allow a few heads to roll from time to time to make it look good but really, who are we trying to kid here?  As far as I'm concerned at least 90% of our political pin heads are crooks.  We could fire them all and there are many other crooks waiting in line to fill their positions.

Absolutely! Finally a progressive with principles. I'm not locked into the "republican good, democrat bad lie. If you send your money to the GOP or the DNC you are giving it to thieves. Very few of them have earned my trust. Which is why I don't want to give these nit-wits any more power over me. They have neither the wisdom no the integrity to be micro managing me.

In reality it is not the

In reality it is not the banks faults it is the FED and treasuries  they should never have offered the banks those guaranteed loans or kept intrest rates so low.  If we had raised intrest rates to where they should be we would have never been in this mess.

The dems claim it is the banks. I'm just saying they should quit complaining, do something or shut up.

It is the banks faults they

It is the banks faults they planned this crisis as they do every other crisis.

They should be arrested and put in the very FEMA Camps they built for us.

I agree they should be

I agree they should be arrested but instead of being locked away in a FEMA camp they should be executed. That will insure they will never harm anyone else.

Deferred prosecution is one

Deferred prosecution is one reason, Schneiderman is trying. Eliot Spitzer's demise proves  what happens when you challenge wall street. Another consideration is the challenge of finding a jury pool, or judge to hear a trial. After their families get threatened with death and or torture, can anyone risk a guilty judgement? The bank mafia rules.

Oops! Sprinkle, you may need to go back and take some remedial progressive training. Progressives don't believe in the death penalty. At least they don't say so out loud.

Maybe, but Elliot Spitzer is a nit wit. He supplied the rope they used to hang him with. You gotta be smarter( and less corrupt) than that if you want to survive. Not everybody can be a slick as Bill Clinton.

The Obama Justice Dept #1

The Obama Justice Dept #1 priority is raiding CA medical marijuana dispensaries which are apparently more of a threat to the world economy than banksters.

No not executed. Here is what we should do - try them, convict them, and lobotomize them so the other sociopaths can see what will become of them.

Now we're making progress. If Holder wasn't so corrupt he might do it. So should we demand he do his job or impeach him? Which will it be?
