A Golden Age Of Politicians And Great Men?

3 posts / 0 new

When was the last time you were truly inspired by a politicians speech?

From Thomas Jefferson's
"When the Goverment fears the people"

Churchill's
"Fight them on the beaches"

To JFK's
"We choose to go to the moon"

Now I struggle to believe anything a politician says,
If they say "it's raining" I want to put my head out the door to make sure.

Can anyone show me something to prove I'm not imagining no more good guys?

Maybe there aren’t enough options of motivational politicians to listen to.....maybe there isn’t enough of an option in gender.

Seems to me there needs to be a dawning of amazing speakers who are astonishing women.

To me the implication of it being a "golden age" and that you feel a lacking of "good guys" means that the age could be over or needs modification......where are all the Fierce Females?

Sincerely,

Romney's

"I like to fire people!"

McConnell's

"Our only objective is to make this a one term president!"

Bush's

"I don't know where Bin Laden is and frankly I don't care!"

Truly inspiring.

We Need to Listen to the Founders and Stop the Forever War.

Just a little over a year ago during his speech at the National Defense University here in Washington, D.C., President Obama talked about winding down Bush’s War on Terror. But as American bombers continue to strike against ISIS in Iraq and now Syria, it now looks like the War on Terror will be with us for years to come. And that’s a really dangerous thing for our democracy.
