He has always been a maverick. In the seventies and eighties Hans Christoph Binswanger taught economics at the Swiss University of St. Gallen and became known as an ecologist and critic of uncontrolled growth.

Without growth there is no capitalism but with growth the risk of finance crashes increases. Capitalism has to be reformed so it will be less aggressive and less vulnerable for crisis.

Keystone would be way worse than we thought!

We already know that the Keystone XL pipeline is a disaster waiting to happen. But, it turns out that the impact of that tar sands pipeline could be even worse than we thought. According to a new study by the Stockholm Environmental Institute, Keystone could add four times more carbon pollution to our atmosphere than the State Department originally estimated.
