Wow....who knew about THIS? I just read an article about the Navy testing off of Hawaii, biofuels! YOU'VE GOT TO READ THIS ARTICLE!

The Navy joined the Agriculture and Energy Departments recently in announcing $30 million in federal funding to support the commercialization of biofuel substitutes for diesel and jet fuel.

Measure's strict limits

But the Pentagon's ability to buy alternative fuel would be restricted under legislation that passed the House of Representatives earlier this year as part of a Department of Defense authorization bill.

That measure would bar the Defense Department from buying biofuels that cost more than conventional fuel. <<Wonder who was responsible for that?? Read the article at the link below.

Should public radio program in the public interest?

NPR is supposed to be our national public radio, but they're barely covering climate issues that are in the public's interest.

Only one month ago, a national New York Times/CBS News poll found that half of all Americans think that global warming is already having a serious impact. Sixty percent of those surveyed even said that protecting our environment should be a priority “even at the risk of curbing economic growth.”
