Time to bring the troops home

1 post / 0 new

Three U.S. soldiers were killed in Afghanistan today – after a man wearing an Afghan military uniform detonated a vest full of explosives outside a military compound. This is the latest attack on coalition forces by Afghans dressed as soldiers or police officers. Under the current strategy, the U.S. military is training an Afghan security force to take over when coalition forces leave the country in 2014.

But on days like this, when members of that Afghan security force end up killing U.S. soldiers, we’re reminded of just what a mess this war is to begin with. Time to bring home the troops – and close the book on our nation’s longest war ever.

Keystone would be way worse than we thought!

According to a new study by the Stockholm Environmental Institute, Keystone could add four times more carbon pollution to our atmosphere than the State Department originally estimated.
