Hi Thom, I have never blogged before, but I wanted to now as I think we are in the midst of the biggest financial scandal of all time, dwarfing the Madoff scandal. This is the manipulation of the Gold and Silver markets worldwide by the biggest financial players, the likes of JP Morgan Chase and HSBC. I am not a good enough writer to detail this crime in progress, but I would urge you to go to the Gold Anti Trust Action Committee (GATA) website for an introduction to this. There was an important hearing held last week with the Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in which testimony was given by various interests in this, which was not reported by any major media outlet in the US. Interestingly, theRussia Now network program which features Max Keiser whom you have had on your program gave this hearing a lot of coverage. I think you are the most intelligent person in the US media today, and hopefully you can get up to speed on this and give it the air it needs. The western financial markets are completely rigged at this point, and the gold and silver markets are the canaries in the coal mine. I think these canaries are starting to become very ill.

The coal country state of West Virginia is in the middle of a special legislative session to deal with a $270 million budget shortfall, and it's setting the stage for Republicans to completely gut the state's government.

It's the same playbook we've seen the right-wing carry out in Wisconsin, in Kansas, in Michigan, and in Ohio.
