I don't trust either but at least if the State controls programs, Washington D.C. will slow pandering for votes and, if I diskike my states decisions, I can move.
"Renaissance Thinking About the Issues of Our Day"
The Conservatives feel that most of the federal programs that states should run them. The Progressives feel that one place-Washington DC-should run them. Example. The States run the Food Stamp program and the Federal Government provides the States with block grants to run them. Some states use the old paper food stamps and some use the debt card. Now the Student Loan program is run by the Federal Government where its a trillion or so in debt. What is our President going to do to fix it? Prevent a increase in interest rate. Here is what they should have done. Let the students go online and decide where is the lowest per cent rate from different banks and once they find one they can use that bank to get their student loans. The same way our health care should be. Not one centralize system. The Conservatives want you to bring home more of your income and you use it what you feel is fit. The progressives feel you shouldn’t make more than anyone else. Everyone should be all the same. So we have 50 states. Each state is made up of the same way the Federal Government is set up. The Governor in each state is the President. Do you feel someone in Washington DC knows really what you really want or does your local government really know. Its the local level that does.
