President Obama awarded Bob Dylan the Medal of Freedom and spoke that he liked Bob Dylan's songs. Does that he liked “Everybody must be stoned” one of them? Our President spoke in his bio that he drank; smoke marijuana and did cocaine too. Right?

Who cares? I don't think any President drank as much alcohol as GWB did. I don't care about that either. I care about who they are and what they do while in office. I did see the picture of Obama giving Dylan the medal though and it looked like he thought something was gonna jump out of his hair.

Kat:

You not seeing Bob Dylan as someone who represents "American Freedom" and deserving of recognition as such, but just some dirty drug using hippie says more about you than it does about Obama. God Bless Bobby D!

Really! An African American U.S. President gave a flower power folk singer the Medal of Freedom for preserving in song a terrible time in history. That certainly means something to we who were around in 1962-1968.

Fifty years on, Dylan awarded Medal of Freedom

OK fine by me... add Angela Davis and Malcolm X. All more American than the entire Boosh klan. People are slowly wakening up to the cheating lying GOPerversions and timid fear of the apologists party of appeasement. Prohibitionists are losing to legalizers and Bobby Dylan is an American hero. Now that's cause to break out the Purple Kush!

Quote Bob Dylan:Come you masters of war. You that build all the guns. You that build the death planes. You that build the big bombs. You that hide behind walls. You that hide behind desks. I just want you to know. I can see through your masks. You that never done nothin’. But build to destroy. You play with my world. Like it’s your little toy. You put a gun in my hand. And you hide from my eyes. And you turn and run farther. When the fast bullets fly. Like Judas of old. You lie and deceive. A world war can be won. You want me to believe. But I see through your eyes. And I see through your brain. Like I see through the water. That runs down my drain. You fasten the triggers. For the others to fire. Then you set back and watch. When the death count gets higher. You hide in your mansion. As young people’s blood. Flows out of their bodies. And is buried in the mud.

You’ve thrown the worst fear. That can ever be hurled. Fear to bring children. Into the world. For threatening my baby. Unborn and unnamed. You ain’t worth the blood. That runs in your veins. How much do I know. To talk out of turn. You might say that I’m young. You might say I’m unlearned. But there’s one thing I know. Though I’m younger than you. Even Jesus would never. Forgive what you do. Let me ask you one question. Is your money that good. Will it buy you forgiveness. Do you think that it could. I think you will find. When your death takes its toll. All the money you made. Will never buy back your soul. And I hope that you die. And your death’ll come soon. I will follow your casket. In the pale afternoon. And I’ll watch while you’re lowered. Down to your deathbed. And I’ll stand o’er your grave. ’Til I’m sure that you’re dead.

Some things... I can relate to true conservatives like Buckley. Not that he always practiced it. Traditionalists or real conservatives use traditional natural substances as humans have done for thousands of years. Hemp has been a staple since forever. Fossil fools are modern quick buck scams by Un-American international corporations with no allegiance to the US. As for the common sense of removing the bogus laws against Ganja and Hemp and ending the longest war in history, Buckley stood out from his crowd. When the dems and reps formed the Neocons. Buckley was too much an American and that's when they started shunning him. If big government size and spending indicates Liberal, then Booshammy was more than FDR. Clinton was more republican than junior. So I'd say I appreciate what he tried to do, but I'm not a fan, or do I agree with much in the National Review as it is today.

William F. Buckley Requiescat In Pace

"The anti-marijuana campaign is a cancerous tissue of lies, undermining law enforcement, aggravating the drug problem, depriving the sick of needed help, and suckering well-intentioned conservatives and countless frightened parents."
~ William F. Buckley, Jr.

Lost political causes By William Buckley

Narcotics police are an enormous, corrupt international bureaucracy ... and now fund a coterie of researchers who provide them with 'scientific support' ... fanatics who distort the legitimate research of others.

Commentary in The National Review, April 29, 1983, p. 495

Well c’mon on Wall Street, don’t be slow. Why this is war a-go-go. There’s plenty good money to be made. By supplin’ the Army with the tools of the trade. Just hope and pray that if we drop the bomb. They drop it on-the Vietcong...

Bush/Quayle/Lilly Pharmaceutical Sellout!
After leaving the CIA in 1977, Bush was made director of Eli Lilly by none other than Dan Quayles father and family, who owned controlling interest in the Lilly company and the Indianapolis Star. Dan Quayle later acted as go-between for drug kingpins, gun runners, and government officials in the Iran-Contra scandals.

Bushit Rumcheney Cocktail: Fascist Nationalism and MKULTRA
Scientist's death haunts family (Merc News Complete Article)
excerpted: The death in 1953 of a government scientist, Frank Olson, in a fall from a New York hotel window, is one of the most notorious cases in CIA history. The documents show that two of the key officials involved in the decision to withhold that information were White House aides Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld, today the nation's vice president and secretary of Defense. ``These documents show the lengths to which the government was trying to cover up the truth,'' said the scientist's son, Eric Olson, who gave them to the Mercury News. ``For 22 years there was a coverup. And then, under the guise of revealing everything, there was a new coverup.''

The Counterculture Colonel
Dr. James S. Ketchum, a retired U.S. Army colonel, was into weapons of mass elation, not weapons of mass destruction. He oversaw a secret research program that tested an array of mind-bending drugs on American GIs, including an exceptionally potent form of synthetic marijuana... Dr. Alexander ("Sasha") Shulgin, a critic of chemical mind-meddling by the military, was wary when he first met Ketchum at a 1993 event honoring the 50th anniversary of the discovery of LSD. But Ketchum is not your typical military bulldozer type. An intelligent, gracious man with a disarming sense of humor, in his own way Ketchum has always been a free spirit. He and his wife, Judy, who currently reside in Santa Rosa, became close friends with Sasha and his formidable partner, Ann. They stayed in frequent contact and occasionally socialized together. When the Shulgins invited them to Burning Man, the Ketchums joined the caravan of RVs driving to the desert.

Makes you wonder how the Quayle family got that "controlling interest" in two Indiana family-owned corporations contemporary with Fort Wayne's Kryder Real Estate, whose Indiana "controlling interest" appears to have been granted without authority to G.H. Walker & Co., Missouri Charter #27908.

According to Allen County, Indiana Deed Records, Kryder Real Estate in Fort Wayne has an interest in the former Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette.

First Columbia took on their drug lords, now they're taking on their billionaires...why can't we?

America’s billionaires are driving this nation’s poverty epidemic. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

As we speak, working-class Americans are getting screwed over by policies that favor the wealthy elite, and leave everyone else in the dust. As a result, more and more Americans are living in poverty.
