Hi Thom,

I have been a loyal listener and fan for many years. I listen to both you and Randi Rhodes and do not understand why you changed your time slot to compete with Randi. This makes no sense. I hope this gets resolved so I can listen to both of you live again.

I agree. We are left here in Los Angeles with KTLK filling in with a local program that trys to be relevant, but is not very compelling. I was able to listen to you on a one day delay in the old time slot the other day, but only if I was at my computer. Placing yourself opposite Randi's excellent but different style of program is hurting you both. You are both excellent researchers and present the issues clearly and in an interesting manner. Either you or she will lose out depending on the choice of the local station. You both need more radio exposure, not less. We need an an attractive and useful alternative opposite Rush from 9-noon our time.

Thanks for adding your voices to the many others who are unhappy with the time change. I am left with no Thom whatsoever for now, here in Moreno Valley without Thom on KTLK anymore.

I highly doubt Thom is intending to contend with Randi Rhodes. Based on the uproar over this and the size of the LA market, I bet a solution is already being pondered. Perhaps more progressive stations is the best solution.

Catch Big Ed Schultz 9-noon, Thom noon - 3pm and Randi Rhodes 3-6 pm 5 days a week by going to KPOJ online and listening via I heart radio. If you are up earlier, I suggest " Carl in the morning" as well. Carl is local to the Portland area and offers FACT based commentary just like Thom and you're sure to enjoy it.

This will let you have all your favorites, and the first two are in real time, Randi's is a rebroadcast.

I hope this helps.

Couldn't agree more. Morris (" Mo' ") Kelly seemed to be doing the best job in bringing his experimental "DiverseLA" into the fold. I give KTLK credit for trying it out, and to Mo' Kelly for being entertaining and educational on a very short notice and in a cramped space (trying to satisfy an audience that already had it's genre and host picked out). Thom, given he has a pollished infrastructure, a regular agenda, and a satellite network of guests and contacts, is just going to be WAAAAAAAAY better by default.

That said, it's time to just end this. Let's return to our regularly scheduled programming.

Oh, and give David Cruz's show time to Morris Kelly. Kelly's the actual liberal between the two, and a little more cerebral about minority issues and not using the airwaves to promote his own personal war against the LAUSD, teachers and theri unions.

Dear professor Hartmann,

I can't remember how I ran into Air America long ago in the first place. It has been a blessing taking your life, politics, history, law, and humanity classes from 12:00 - 3:00. I am a faithful student of yours and I know that this time change was out of your control. I will like to know what we can do to get you back to the 12:00 time again. I don't like missing my 12:00 "education sessions" with you. Your programming has always been very insightful, thought provoking, and Just PURE BRILLIANCE. I know you are not the kind to ask for mass action by your listeners when it apply to yourself, but we will just like to help get you back to the 12:00 time. You know you say at the end of each show "tag you are it", and every day I have tag myself to do something. Today, I am tagging for you.

If anyone knows what to do please share. We need our professor back at 12:00. "tag you are it, do some thing, occupy something"

Your Student

Thanks you professor

The Problem of the Establishment

One thing that both parties have in common in this primary season is the fact that there's a sharp divide between "We, the People" populism, and the rich and powerful Washington establishment.

On the Republican side, Donald Trump is leading the race by running on a populist platform based on the fact that he's not beholden to the billionaires or lobbyists, and that he's never been part of the political establishment.
