Let's show our opposition to the "Burn a Koran" and hate speech in positive and right action!

Facebook has a group you can join showing support of our American right to freedom of religious expresssion.

Please join NOT IN OUR NATION on Facebook.  We cannot legislate what is in the human heart but hate CRIMES are unacceptable; it's essential to a democracy that good people stand up for justice and equality whenever our basic rights are threatened.  The hate speech that is rampant in print, on line, and on the air, is parent to the ugly deeds that are occuring all over this country.  There's been desicration in Tennesse, a throat slashing in NYC, and this morning's Los Angeles Times had a piece on an anti Muslm crime which took place in Madera, CA. It too, is being investigated as a hate crime.  Muslim American families cannot feel safe in their own country.

To paraphrase:

When they came for the Catholics, I wasn't Catholic, so I didn't stand up. They passed Jim Crow laws but i wasn't Black, so I didn't stand up. Then they came after the LGBT community but I wasn't among them so I didn't stand up.  They interned Japenese Americans, but I wasn't Japenese so I didn't stand up. They attacked Hispanic immigrants, but I wasn't an immigrant so I didn't stand up.  They drew swastikas on the synagogue doors but I wasn't Jewish so I didn't stand up.... When they came for me?  Well, when they came for me, there was noone left to stand up.
