Before the government mandated what kind of lightbulbs we had to use they were made in the USA and cost 4/$1 at Home Depot. You asked for it, shut up and pay.

You have

no friggin' idea what I asked for. Speak for yourself and shut up your own mouth.

Ten million is alot of corporate welfare and you are telling me to shut my mouth? What kind of convoluted brain do you have anyway? I thought you were against welfare? I guess the issue for you is not the welfare - but who gets the well-fare.

I don't believe in corporate well-fare. Clearly PHILIPS as a corporation ought to be able to provide itself with its own money for developing products WE HAVE TO PAY FOR. Clearly you don't mind being one of their tax paying supporters. Do you pay taxes?

It's OK. You can step away from the ledge. If the big brother government hadn't MANDATED the new mercury filled abominations in the first place, we would STILL be paying 4/$1 and U.S. plants would still be open. Philips would not need government intervention and therefore money for development of a product nobody wants. That is how we got in trouble with the Volt. Now they are mandatory, so shut up and pay. Oh!, and be sure to call the EPA if you break one. More government money to Kimberly Clark to develop a mandatory Hazmat suit for the modern progressives wardrobe. Pinstripes, plaid, or better yet, how about earth brown?

feeling close

to the edge are you?

Apparently, so edgy you are - to see how a corporation gets an easy $10 Million from us tax paying suckers and all you can do is tell me to shut up? And be concerned for wardrobe choices? Really?

Whooo hoooooo whooo hooooo hoooeeeeeeeee! I needed a good laugh - Thanks!

Besides your earth brown Hazmat suit you may want a pair of U.S. government boots. All this from Big Brother forcing us to comply with some idiots version of what is good for all. Warning graphic images.

we are in agreement - more corporate well-fare.

The issue here doesn't seem to be a about well-fare - seems to be about who gets the welfare and who gets the well-fare. It seems for you it just matters who gets the welfare.

Its either all or none.

The Death of the Middle Class was by Design...

Even in the face of the so-called Recovery, poverty and inequality are getting worse in our country, and more wealth and power is flowing straight to the top. According to Paul Buchheit over at Alternet, this is the end result of winner-take-all capitalism, and this destruction of the working class has all been by design.
