Think that anti-choice politicians and activists aren't trying to outlaw contraception? Think again. Follow along in an ongoing series that proves beyond a doubt that they really are coming for your birth control.

Swanson: I’m beginning to get some evidence from certain doctors and certain scientists that have done research on women’s wombs after they’ve gone through the surgery, and they’ve compared the wombs of women who were on the birth control pill to those who were not on the birth control pill. And they have found that with women who are on the birth control pill, there are these little tiny fetuses, these little babies, that are embedded into the womb. They’re just like dead babies. They’re on the inside of the womb. And these wombs of women who have been on the birth control pill effectively have become graveyards for lots and lots of little babies.

Pills are the most CONVENIENT

Pills are the most CONVENIENT method of birth control. There are other means of birth control besides pills. Pills are hazardous to women's long range health on numerous fronts, while men assume no risk. Birth Control can never be taken away. At worst we would lose a dangerous method involving an unnatural drug of convenience, with a strong potential to induce health problems which may never surface otherwise.

The story of embedded fetuses is shamefully disgusting and unscientific. Birth control pills hormonally trick the body into thinking it is already pregnant, to prevent ovulation.  Birth control pills do not kill fetuses, by any established science. There can be no fetus unless an ovule was fertilized. An ovule cannot be fertilized which hasn't been released from the ovaries. That is the mechanism of birth control pills, prevention of ovulation, not extermination of fertilized ovules.

I think this Swanson dude is

I think this Swanson dude is really that fun loving Todd ("Legitmate Rape Victims") Akin dude from the big MO. At least they sound like they must have taken the same science classes in high school (like somewhere back in the 1930s wasn't it?).
