Santorum “why should I pay for other people’s mistakes?” Because you are making decisions that affect other people’s lives. For every law the government makes or for every job that is cut, or any person that is harmed; society is responsible. The law of unintended consequences: some how we are all responsible.

Yes, Santorum and his zombie-minded followers (unfortunately, my parents!) are missing the 40 foot owl in the room.
Santorum and his zombies have a self imposed myopia. They "could" see the big picture... if they wanted to. But they use their religion to reinforce their own prejudices.
Like most people do, they contort GOD to humanity and not HUMANITY to God. The problem is not the message, it's the messengers.
Stewards of the earth. Maybe that means to serve the earth. To be a good steward of the earth means to manage the resources. Genesis 1:26 Then God Said, “ Let us make man in our image according to our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 2:15 then Lord God took man, and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and to keep it. The bible does not say to destroy the earth it says keep it. The bible does not say waste the earth it says tend and keep it. How can a person continue dominion of the earth if there is nothing left? Some other words for dominion is manage or management. Some other words for tend is to influence or encourage. Keep in mind this is before Noah and the great deluge. God did not like what man was doing with the earth and with the other people. Genesis 6:5 Then the lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 and the lord was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and he was grieved in his heart. 7 So the lord said, “ Genesis 6:11 The earth also was corrupt before God and the earth was filled with violence. Another word for corrupt is pollute, defilement and mismanage.
Some other words for husband are hoard or preserve.
We know that Rick's goal is not to preserve.
