Now I'm 99% Sure That Occupy_______? is all Rove's scam...

I believe that in the end, when the Occupy Wall Street Movement has morphed into something 10,000 times more effective than the MANY STOOOOPID street actions that the OWS and its descendant movements have undertaken and are undertaking right now, and then some OBJECTIVE analysis has been completed regarding the OM, it will be seen and accepted that the OWS Movement was set up to fail by someone on the right wing.

Now, I'm NOT saying anything about those persons who started OWS all in the streets on Manhattan, I'm talking about the clandestine actions and subversive wisperings to a few folks...wisperings and set-ups that the Republicans HAD to take to thwart the AMAZING "organizational successes" of:  first Wisconsin...then Ohio...and then Michigan...and hopefully, many-many more. The righties HAD to start doing something to stem the PEOPLE POWER in the NEW "template for people's public political actions" seen in the central and upper midwest.

Frankly, even Citizens United cannot thwart what has been going on in this "people's organizing" process of late.

So, do not despair about the few infiltrators and the "usual" anarchists that stealthily steer good people with good intentions into doing STOOOOOOPID things. Its all part of the plan to infiltrate, to undermine, to make antiproductive, ALL the good intentions of those who wish to improve our democracy.

Indeed, Please take this opportunity to review what has gone on since last fall...throw out all the bad and stupid stuff [including all the troublemakers]...and then...create some new ways to "protest".

I OBJECT to myself...I use the word protest rarely...because to me, "protest" means nothing more than COMPLAINING. But in the opposite..."public activism" means getting involved and DOING SOMETHING ABOUT SOMETHING. I haven't protested in years...I've only performed CI-Civil Informationing Activisms...if anything...I have protested protests in that they are stuck in last century's mind-sets.

And guess where you can look for all the GOOD stuff that OWS and its descendants have been using to MODERNIZE public political activisms...I mean the GOOD and SUCCESSFUL TACTICS used to make OWS work effectively?

Well, just look right here at Thom Hartmann Nation...in the archives.

Just search for: "Civil Informationing: modernizing public activism"...

and also look into...

"Occupy Democracy-your town"

If you do, you will find many ways to get COMPLETELY AROUND all the "stoooooooopid" in these now COMPLETELY infiltrated and certainly "WELL OFF SUBJECT" protests-turned violent-turned lawbreaking-turned counterproductive...actions by those who are currently masquerading as members of the "Occupy Movement" but are undermining it.

In closing...a brief reminder:

Its 2012 and no longer 1968...

...and we can be much smarter than we have been since last fall [since 40 years ago actually]...and we can be 10,000 times more effective "per person" than all of last century's tactics...the tactics we see in Oakland.

All that violence and lawbreaking need to stop...and stop now. Get legal, get informational, get friendly, work on improving democracy, get organized, have some fun, meet your neighbors...get crackin...it feels good!

Lets do SMAAAART now...we have done STOOOOPID for long enough!

Get busy doing something GOOD, we have a lot of work to do...while NOT IN JAIL!

love, peace and progress

Hello Robin -- good post,

Hello Robin -- good post, although I don't agree that OWS was Rove's idea, or any right-winger's idea. I think it happened because the time was right and because of people like us describing what needs to be done and encouraging people to get politically active. As always, there will be enemies of the movement who try to infiltrate it and sabotage it, and yes, I agree that while the tent encampments and the large crowds out in the streets and parks gets far more news attention than other actions including internet networking, it also tends to lead to stupid actions -- violence, vandalism, and vulnerbility to the above mentioned infiltration. The protests are tactics largely from the past, but they still play an important role. We need to use as many peaceful occupation tactics as we can, and most importantly, translate that into electing more progressive leaders and pushing the ones we have to behave more progressively. I think the internet, cell phones, etc. are crucial organizing and communication tools that were not present during earlier times.
