I had an idea for a blog that I hope will benefit someone. As you all know "Tag, you're it!" is a phrase that Thom says at the end of each show. It's intent is to inspire listeners to become more than simply listeners, and become involved in their communities. We are at the point in this country where most of us are just completely fed up with how much politicking has become involved in our politics. It seems that the officials we have elected to represent us have largely lost sight of why we put them there in the first place. Because of Thom's show, I've become more involved in my community. Through MoveOn.org, I've attended a healthcare rally and most recently, a massive brainstorming session on corporate personhood. It was great to be able to discuss issues with other individuals who have wonderful ideas about how to begin fixing this messed up government and this burdensome economic recession. I was nervous before both events, as I attended alone. I was worried that my ideas would not be well received or that I was not as educated on the issues as I thought. But listening to Thom and doing a bit of my own research, I was well-prepared to discuss issues intelligently and even offered a few ideas that were quite popular. I hope that if people hear stories like mine, they will be encouraged to become active. The country needs our help. We progressives, liberals, democrats, are better equipped to lead the country into the future, and we need to get out there and educate people that conservative preservation of the status quo will not keep us competitive in the world. So, "Get out there, get active...Tag, You're It!"

Let’s renew grassroots efforts to sway those undecided, Independent and discouraged voters!

"YES, we can 'BECOME THE CHANGE' we (progressives) need to see on (and beyond) Election day!"

The DAILY KOS has begun an awesome Internet grassroots initiative; similar to their previous initiatives that have made differences in previous election outcomes!
