Fracking? Alaska volcano lava dome forms, alert level raised

Don’t kid yourself, the distance between the problem (fracking) and the symptom (major hquake volcano, etc.) may not mean all that much when you are dealing with plates.

Tremors from Earthquakes also travel down.

So did fracking contributing to the Alaska volcanic activity?  Probably, but we just can’t be certain and there in lies the opening to exploit the Commons.  Its just like in New Orleans - blame it Katrina even though the only way the flood water couldn't have made it to the City if not but for Oil and Gas industry creating shipping channels leading  from the Gulf to the New Orleans area referineries and their destroying millions of acres of Cypress and swamp buffer that lay between the Gulf and New Orleans.

You can't blame mother nature for everything.

The distance between any two

The distance between any two rays emanating from the center of a sphere shortens as you move toward the center.

This is to say that although on the surface a fracking quake in the Dakotas isn’t felt on the surface of Yellowstone National Park, the further down the quake travels (along a hypothetical ray pointing outward to the quake in the Dakotas), the less distance the quake and it’s resultant change in pressure, tensions, etc. has to travel to a point at the same depth on another ray  that points to the Super Volcano in Yellowstone National Park.
